I had the same challenge. When my land line phone rings, Homey is triggered. I chose to use the flash card for Hue. After two or three flashes the lights return to their original state.

Not exactly in topic, but can you adjust the time in which the actuator will close the ball valve? You want to prevent water hammer by slowly closing the valve.

I would recommend to use a combined motion / light sensor. You might be at home but taking a nap in the bed room. Then there is no need for light in the living room.
