If you reset Homey nothing has happened on your Z-Wave device. It still thinks it is in the network.

    @Taco ;
The trick was resetting device indeed from manual:

The Fibaro Motion Sensor reset erases the EPROM memory, including all information on the Z-Wave network and the main controller. Fibaro Motion Sensor reset procedure: 1) Make sure the battery works and is in place. 2) Press and hold the B-button for 4-6 seconds until the LED glows signaling the 2nd menu level. 3) Release the B-button. 4) Again, press the B-button briefly. Successful reset will be confirmed with the LED changing colour to red and fading

After that homey is detecting my motion sensor many thanks for your help

    Happy to help :)
  • Your sensor is still 'connected' to your non-existing previous network.
The sensor doesn't know you reset your network so you first have to remove it.
In the z-wave settings, do a 'remove node', then put your sensor in 'learn' mode.  It will be removed (reset).
After that, you should be able to add it again through the normal procedure.
  • I sadly have to say z-wave is still very, very unstable.  :(
Still having the same problems as before.  Can't add Fibaro Dimmer 2, error during interview, unusable device was added, can't remove it anymore, errors during removal, 'running in another session', popups with no text expect for 'true', etc...
  • I did a full reboot/wipe to start-over all clean with 8.22. The Fibaro Dimmer 2 is not paring which by resetting the Z-wave chip does not solve it.

Working on it. I'm unable to reproduce most of the errors so debugging is very hard. For instance: the popup with "true" I have only experienced when I kill Homey manually but never while trying to reproduce issues. This makes fixing very difficult.

Unusable device added is fixed in 0.8.23.

Sundown an  sunrise confirmed to be still broke...
Yeah I noticed that too - well at least sunset, but I doubt sunrise will work tomorrow morning. Has this been flagged as an official issue yet?
  • @Taco, if you want a log of my system: 4F3817C1C5.

It's strange that you seem to be having way less problems than us
You have no problems adding the Dimmer 2?
The device that was added when trying to add my dimmer timed out and I was able to delete it on the Devices page.
Still have an 'unknown node (7)' left (don't know anymore where it came from, my 1x Relay I think)

  • @Fire : I retried and indeed. Speech-input freezes Homey. Now restarting with mic off...

@Taco still trouble with adding AEOTEC Smart Switch 6

Add fails multiple times, had 1 time that i got a little detected but was unable to switch and powermeter did not show up. Just a switch that was not switchable.

Configuration Parms are also not available

Remove runs endless even when reset zwave command. Reset complete zwave i've not done. Next to the "this is not the way to do it" i can reset it to default every hour without a backup and restore settings funtion

    Send log in under 801695E185

  • My Homey is after The update not connect To The server. When i reboot Homey he is connected but after 10 minuters he's not conected.
With The old software he was always connected. What van i do?

I changed my language and voice to Dutch.  Was trying some thing through the /speech-input (to see what apps already have Dutch triggers).
Now suddenly my Homey isn't responding anymore :bawling:
    https://github.com/athombv/homey/issues/321

  • I think iets not The same @BasVanDenBosch because i only have an update, no change of language
  • Changed mine back to English.
It doesn't hang anymore, but it also doesn't (or hardly) react to 'ok homey'  :/
  • Did that too, still get the hangs... I put a pluswise(source-plug) between power and homey so I won't have to keep pulling the plug literally. As for the recognition, I'm gonna try a complete reboot (no restore) tonight to see if that helps the hanging, perhaps recognition is better then too?
  • Rebooted several times already since yesterday, still no reaction...
  • After reboot Homey stil not connected @Fire69 ;
(na opnieuw opstarten verbreekt Homey bij jou ook de verbinding na enige minuten?)
  • Just to confirm, Sunrise is also not working as test show on the flow for this morning.

As this is a registered bug on Github my guess is that Athom will mention it in the release notes of a firmware update once they get to it and fix it. :+1:

The sun evens ticket is closed and I can't find a open ticked that noticed that the fix in 0.8.7 didn't work.

Shouldn't we put this link in a new thread for 0.8.23? That would make a nice changelog, if kept up to date by @Emile !
