How to disable experimental updates

Hi,

some time ago i decided it would be fun to enable experimental updates on my homey and although it has not caused me any problem yet, i would like to switch back to stable but the checkbox is grey and checked. how can i disable experimental updates (i do accept to not be able to downgrade to stable, i just do not want to continue upgrading to experimental)

hope someone can help

By design you can't switch back.
But last time I reset homey back to defaults it was disabled

I guess you still can restore the configuration during the reset.
  • else, if you do not want to reset just disable automatic update and only update when firmware hits stable.
  • i tried turning homey upside down and reconnected to my wifi but it still is on experimental updates. i do not want to remove all things configured just to change back to regular updates. can the checkmark be made available so i can uncheck it?
  • You can't! I refer to Emile's update status of november 1st: https://forum.athom.com/discussion/1430/software-status#latest

He says it will be possible with firmware Homey v0.11.0 that's version is not (yet) published.

firmware Homey v0.11.0 that's version is not (yet) published.
And not going to be published.
1.0.0 will be the next update.
There will also be an option to go back to regular FW.

An extensive support article will be published next week, but for now: hold [ALT] when you're on the 'Checking for updates' screen at setup.athom.com, and select 'Revert to stable channel'.

    asked support
  • Will this still be an option in the near future?
