  • And don't forget to set the association. Otherwise the sensor won't report movement.
  • Great, then your sensor is correctly setup. The flow isn't triggering because of a bug like RobertLijkenDijk mentioned.
  • Hi brot84, did you wake up your sensor so Homey can apply the settings to it? Try button bashing the button under the cover of the sensor a few times. In the device card the generic alarm should pulse red when motion is detected.
  • It does. Otherwise that is a bug
  • If you reset the Z-Wave chip is cleared with all the network data (same as Reset Z-Wave Network button). If you choose to do this you also have to reset all your devices manually before you can include them in another network. This because they cont…
  • Do you have any associations set? Probably the status that is fetched (true because the alarm is flashing) during the interview is never updated.
  • In 0.8.18 I've fixed some crashes in the driver. If you still can't remove nodes you definitely will in 0.8.19. All known crashes to me are fixed in that version. Also you'll be able to add more than 2 configuration parameters. There was a bug in t…
  • Great to hear The Danalock doesn't support associations. This means Homey isn't notified when the lock opens or closes (unless it instructs the lock itself).
  • The Request Network Update can't take over the primary role from the primary controller. It checks with the current primary controller if there are changes in the network topology and fetches them. Homey can only become the primary controller if you…
  • In 0.8.19 Z-Wave will be more way stable.
  • You cannot remove the dim capability from a device in Homey. You can switch them on and off by clicking the socket icon.
  • Great suggestion!
  • The Danalock is a Z-Wave Plus device so you don't have to change any associations for it to work out of the box. I don't know by head how many associations the Danalock supports, you'll have to check the manual for that.
  • I'll PM you Fire69. I don't know at the moment for which brand were going to make an app and what brands not. Depends if the devices need one. We'll announce it when the time is there.
  • I mentioned that the lock seems to lose connection after a while, when I reboot homey or use the lock mit my smartphone it becomes aviable again. Will this be fixed with the full implementation of its command class ? If one command isn't acked or n…
  • But we don't wan't to create a database  I'm building a generic template to support all Z-Wave devices. For some custom features devices may have there are apps. They are also used for little things to make the devices 100% plug and play.
  • All association groups has to be described in the device manual. Look for the group with keywords like "status reporting" or "main controller".
  • We are working on making it more user friendly. The Z-Wave apps will make you device completely plug and play. For the non Z-Wave Plus devices that don't use group 1 for communication with the main controller, you'll have to manually set the correct…
  • Slave devices can also send controlling commands when an association with it target device is made on the right group. For example, if you make an association on a Fibaro motion sensor on group 1 with the node id of a Fibaro wall plug in the same ne…
  • Like Fire69 said, association are made to make devices communicate directly with each other. So in order to make a device report its status to Homey an association has to be made with the device. Your average Z-Wave controller has a database with ma…
  • You are correct.
  • The most problems are caused when the correct association aren't setup in non Z-Wave Plus devices by the user or they try to pair a device that still is in another network. Were working on making it more plug and play.
  • Ah, thats true. Would be funny to yell "Ok Homey, open the door" through the letterbox of someones door and the door unlocks, but not very secure.
  • Huh, where did you read that? The Door Lock command class isn't finished but Homey can indeed open and close locks already.
  • @JurgenVanDeRijke If you select it in the dropdown and press the Refresh Node button Homey will try to reach it. If it fails, the node will be placed in the so called failed node list. Then you can remove it by pressing the Remove Failed Node button.
  • Great to see it in action
  • You can also first remove the node from the network ising the Remove Node button in the settings. This clears the network on the device even if it is currently on another network.
  • Tripple press the B button on your motion sensor on the correct screen in the wizard. You have to press very fast. Try pressing the button 10 times as fast as you can.
  • @moek your devices woke up at their defined interval in the night and then Homey could push the settings to them.
