My experiences with the KAKU dimmer is very positive. I turned my dimmer of before I paired Homey to the dimmer. Later when I tried to adjust the brightness via the components window it worked perfectly. I could set the brightness without the lamp g…

Hahahaha lol

I have this problem, my laptop was standing 50 cm next to Homey and receives full power WiFi. My router is in the same room as Homey. So with me, the signalstrength of the WiFi is not the problem.
-
Emile already mentioned they are busy with the USB cable problem.
-
I'm having the same issue here. Putted a message on Slack as well.
-
Nice, now I just have to wait till my Homey is come to rest after a factory reset According to my settings page I'm using software 0.0.0 .
-
Here everything also worked nicely. I just had to wait a couple of minutes before all SSID's where found. While Homey searched for SSID's, it seems that it does nothing. So it's a bit hard to tell what Homey is doing.

Notepad++ for the win!

Another type of "I like fora"

Well, I hope so! At that time I will be at home, while I'm at my work from 06:00 to 17:00.

I did, almost a couple of weeks ago.

And thereby, the voice activation only works in the room where Homey is or with your phone. But when I'm working on my computer it's easy to click a button on a website.
-
Well, in the end it stays a safe and far away forum... But indeed some reactions are strange. @Emile said it already before, You all get your Homey before we go to retail. On the other hand, I also can imagine that some backers/pre-orders are so ex…

Normaly the PLC needs values to measure and decide if a valve must be open or close. Therefor it request data from a levelmeter for example. Or it uses modbus tobretreive the status of a emergencie power supply, both are applucations we've build. B…

\o/. I'm reading this forum also a couple of times a day. But I agree with MarcoF you can't expect a reaction on monday morning .
-
Ok, but do you want to connect Homey to a PLC via modbus? That doesn't make sence. You don't want to use a PLC as a modbus slave. A PLC is ment to be a modbus master. There are better protocols to let Homey communicate with a PLC.
-
@ FransG there are medicine against craps :-$.
-
Sound nice, I like modbus very much. The only problem is that most devices are industrial and therefor pretty expensive. It's also possible to use an arduino as a modbus slave. But mate there are better protocols to use between an arduino and Homey.…

Good to hear @Emile. Perhaps it is usefull to post this message also in the Status & Shipment topic?

I'm using several Omni 10 speakers and planning to buy a few Omni 20's in the future. The nice thing is that HK using open source so this should make it a bit easier to connect Homey.
