Version 2.0.1 has been submitted for approval to the beta channel. It has been rewritten for SDK2 and is using classes also. Added functionality is that it is supporting the publishing of waypoints. When you do that from your phone, all regions are…

You can checkout owntracks. When using HTTP, you dont need anything else besides your homey and the owntracks phone app. You can also use BT tokens with owntracks. Some users have experience with that. Bad thing is you need to have your phone with …

Sorry forgot to subscribe to this topic. But it looks like @zowieke already wrote down good tips to make it work. Thx @zowieke It would really help if someone with an iPhone who has this working, could write down the settings. I don't have a iPh…

Time is a challenge for the most of us. @MikeOne your repo is up to date?
-
@ingmar I really need to find time to write stuff down about all this.

Take a look at the accuracy settings in both the homey app and the phone app. In the homey app homey app put something like 2000 meters to make sure that the transition is being processed.
-
Did you enable the share option in the region specified on your phone? You need to receive a transition message. If you add a region, does it get automatically added in the homey owntracks app?
-
When using speech through action cards, speech will go out through homey. That is because homey doesn't know where else to send the output to.
-
@Phuturist The flows will only be triggered when there is a transition event (i.e. you enter or leave a geofence). Such messages have "_type":"transition" and will include the field "desc":"" I would suggest to make a flow that will trigger on ev…

Normally you would add a user with https://mosquitto.org/man/mosquitto_passwd-1.html And create authorization to the topics

@phuturist @ingmar is the only one that can change the first post. But indeed MQTT is the most secure solution. Only problem is that the username that you login with is used by the owntracks app as user and as such also in the homey app. So multip…

@phuturist do you use the beta version or the stable version? You don't have to use MQTT anymore. You can use plain https through the athom cloud. Or use your own web server as proxy (for https).
-
@Phuturist For the app crash there is already a new version pending approval. I see that you are using the topic based triggercards. Please use the trigger cards based on username / fence name. The topic based trigger cards will be removed in th S…

@Fire69 Device ID is not used in the homey app (not yet anyway) but the phone apps use it to display the device on the map (when using a MQTT broker) Edit: oh no that's tracker id Edit 2: device ID is part of the topic. Not using that inside the …

@Fire69 the username used is the userid that is used to login to the mqtt broker. I would suggest to use a normal name. That way you can use another feature better.... You can ask homey for the location of a user (homey will answer with the fence n…

@Fire69 No it will not automatically add a place, but when you add a new Geofence then it will send a way point message to the broker containing the Geofence name (please remember to enable the sharing option when you add a fence / region in the ph…

@Fire69 You can also use HTTP now (through the athom cloud) There are three trigger cards (one for entering a fence, one for leaving a fence and one that gets triggered on enter and leave). In these trigger cards you can specify the fence and…

Important As you might know a new version of the SDK is developed by Athom. The owntracks app has been modified to be compatible with the new SDK. As soon as the 1.5 firmware is stable, the Sdk2 compatible owntracks app will also be published. I…

Also in the user settings you can add or remove geofences: When the owntracks app receives an event with a geofence is does not know, its automatically added. The main purpose of this is that in the trigger cards you do not need to enter the topi…
