@Alle try restartimg the app. Installing the broker is sometime too heavy for Homey. The other settings are correct? Port numbers etc?

Alle said: After installing the broker i get the following error and the broker fails to function. That's a normal error. The file doesn't exist yet and is newly created. What doesn't work? Did you add users?

speedy said: @MennoVanGrinsven yes, i am using a broker. I looked up how to add the receiving of commands on the phone, but wasn't 100% sure if this was right. I subscribe all phones to owntracks/# , so they should receive all messages. do …

@speedy If you are using a MQTT broker and tub have enabled receiving commands on the owntracks app on your phone, you can push all the fences that are on the homey owntracks client to a specific device.

@quakerix No reason why it would not work on that broker. Just check the following: Did you enable remote commands on the owntracks phone apps? Check the permissions on the topics. The homey account should have write permissions, but i cant tell ho…

@deedje With the MQTT client app you can create a trigger on a specific topic. That means if a message on that topic is received, that triggers activates a flow where you can specify actions that homey can do.
-
@B3rt Did you add a flow for a leave/enter event? Perhaps it's a better idea to install the MQTT broker app on Homey.
-
@mbalik79 It would be nice to have some logging to see what happens.
