  • RuudvB said: Since homey is now available in stores, there _SHOULD_ be a good functioning customer support "department".  The general complaint I read on the forum is that customers (yes, we are customers) are felt left in the dark.   …
  • While I do not know a definite answer, you could look into a flow-system set up like this: Flow 1: Set a variable ('ClickAmount') to a specified number (let's say 5) Flow 2: If ClickAmount has changed and ClickAmount is above 0, then do something (…
  • I disagree. Having people eagerly waiting and then complaining when there is too little news to tell is unmotivating for everyone involved. I have seen multiple times that people complain Athom is doing too little right after a weekly update is post…
  • I would like to contribute something new to this discussion, which is the state of Homey's competitors. The choices you have are either very geeky (Domoticz, self-assembled RPi interface), which are impossible to use for the vast majority of the pe…
  • Thanks for placing the solution here
  • Radio stations are very easy to implement from a developer's point of view; it should be as easy as finding the correct URL and entering that. IR range improvements is a different story and unrelated to the media player.
  • I believe it was using "{LastCaller}" or "{{LastCaller}}". Give those a shot and let us know
  • bob76 said: Ik lees nog steeds mee  I honestly do not know why you are still reading this. You made your point clear. Homey doesn't fulfill your expectations, and you want to return it. Fair point. The remedy to that problem has been pos…
  • Count_B said: So if you use the microphone card "vraag om bevestiging" it only respond to yes or no or do you have to make a variable for this? It will only respond to yes or no (and similar phrases I believe, like 'nope')
  • G4nd41f said: Did anyone successfully run the update? The fixes sound good, but I don't want to reset my Homey Yea, no problems at all.
  • @bob76 I agree with you, but please realize that you cannot honestly compare Amazon with Athom. Amazon is worth 250 BILLION dollars. They can easily spend tens of millions and hundred-thousands of people on AI and speech recognition. It doesn't put …
  • Just tested and doesn't change anything for me. If it helps you though, great!

  • Interestingly enough, the first app using bluetooth is on the appstore already. I don't know if it works (well), but appearantly bluetooth is working. https://apps.athom.com/app/com.mipow.playbulb
  • MHubert said: KoenMartens said: The choice is what @jjtbsomhorst said. If athom places 'open my.athom.com on a web-browser', it should work on internet explorer. Homey's page will not work on IE, and never will. Now they can tell 'down…
  • Is near-field-communication / RFID an idea? I assume iPhone has NFC.
  • The choice is what @jjtbsomhorst said. If athom places 'open my.athom.com on a web-browser', it should work on internet explorer. Homey's page will not work on IE, and never will. Now they can tell 'download the program', and it will work on all OSs…
  • @nklerk: Wauw, this has taken a while, but I just saw that the first app that can work with a bluetooth device appeared in the appstore: https://apps.athom.com/app/com.mipow.playbulb Maybe you can already look at the communication of Homey with blue…
  • AcE_Krystal said: +1 for a few simple widgets for easy turning groups of lights on or off... Or even better: Just a widget button where you could pre-configure a "word" that you would like say to homey without using to mic. People that just wan…
  • Although I haven't used the app (yet), it looks great. Would it be possible to add functionality to disable/enable/restart different apps?

  • Logic sounds sound (haha I love wordpuns...). With two persons, why not use the 'The first household member came home', 'The last household member left home', already build in Smart Presence? I don't see many scenario's you need more.
  • @Annemarie and everyone else: Since 0.10.9 the regular voice has incorporated the exact same effects of Better Voice (as I proposed in the start of this thread). I suggest to Athom to remove this app from their store, as it's completely redundant. …
  • Mathijs said: Fire69 said: That is incorrect and it has been confirmed by Athom on Slack that the same service is used on phone and Homey. Now that is VERY scary. It means that indeed the problem is hardware and t…
  • I'm actually using the same app! At the moment I'm testing it with the IFTTT integration, but it works wonky (as IFTTT always does IMO). @jjtbsomhorst: Does tasker work faster/more reliable than IFTTT? As for the API: I'm afraid they can only perfo…
  • I think your major point of improved would be in motion-detection; it will open up a lot more possibilities. Think about aeotec or Fibaro.
  • jjtbsomhorst said: RuudvanBeek said: Your suggestion would mean that all apps have to be equiped with some kind of magic interrupt keyword. It seems much easier to me if homey would have such a magic keyword by default, in a sense like…
