MatjaLipu said: Read it here https://developers.athom.com/library/ledring/ But yeah, it looks like you can update only frames (with updateFrames), not options. I guess you could hook this up with api.js or app2app https://developers.athom.com/…

@Phuturist : Yea, that's what we need. I asked Emile for an example earlier in this thread, but so far no response

TheoDeKoning said: If you can move 1 led around the ring then you can also do that whit 2 led's and so on, I think. Yes, but I cannot make 16 million different screensavers (255^3) for all the possible colours. Or well, I won't.

DieterKoblenz said: KoenMartens said: In flows, you can only change an animation of the LED ring (which is limited in time by definition). You can set a new screensaver from a flow. I stand corrected

Jon said: hi @KoenMartens I like your app Is it possible to add 'solid color' as a screensaver option as well? I am having a flow like this below, but it only sets the solid color for 1-2 seconds or so, that it returns to the " When Homey is …

You might also want to look at LIFX lights; can be directly controlled over WiFi without needing a hub.

@Jerryvdv Nope

@keverjeroen Thanks! The problem I had with a veeerrryyy slow rainbow animation that it is in fact possible (see @DieterKoblenz's remark), but there are only 24 LEDs. In practice, this means that the rainbow is standing still, then jumps 1/24th of …

EdTst said: Oops. And one that just makes the ring bright white, but steady? Like the white sleep, but without the sleep? Sure that's technically possible. Any others who want a screensaver like this? (Just +1 this post or whatever)

EdTst said: I have a simple request. A screensaver that lets you turn Homey's LED ring on in a certain colour. Yea, not simple. Screensavers are (as far as I know) initialized upon resetting Homey or upon (re-)installing the app. If I ma…

@Phuturist @phil_s : Yes, only backwards or only forwards is absolutely no problem. The problem lies in the changing of these parameters upon an event happening. According to https://developers.athom.com/library/ledring/ it is possible (see bold te…

Same. Battery device from kaku that I have stops working from 4ish meters away as well

Never released it because I never found it finished. I can make it available no problems. Give it a day or 2 to get accepted. EDIT: Athom is faster than I imaged. App is approved and submitted in the store.

MHubert said: @KoenMartens The other topic is for Athom(so no individuel kwestion) ent also no reaktion. Then apparantly Athom made the decision to not post anything public about it. Why would Emile act differently?

@Erwin1 : About your edit, that is true, Athom has mentioned that they are working on an improved flow-editor which enables the use of variables in intensity sliders (and others). It's also possible to make 20-ish more flows with 'If variable chang…

Hi, From a developer's point of view, this would be possible, but only for a single bulb (i.e. for Hue or LIFX, but not for both lights). Therefore I'd suggest to do it 'homemade', and make 3-4 flows, each at a certain time (i.e. 8:10, 8:15, 8:20 …

@SdR: are you aware of the 'experimental' tag as well? Literally copied from the homey settings: Subscribe to experimental updates. Warning: these might be unstable! If you wanted a stable product, don't use experimental updates. As @lubbertkramer…

No, it didn't. There was less than 2 days between my submittal and Athom's approval.

@Sommo: What? I am doing this for free, I am not rewarded, financially or otherwise, in any way if I update this app or not. I do not like your tone at all. Feel free to fork the code at github and update it yourself if you want more functionality.

You extract the zip file somewhere on your pc, you open a command promp (windows key + R), go to the folder of the app ('cd C:\Users\Whatever\Folders\TelegramApp'), and then use 'athom project --install' or 'athom project --run'

Version 0.1.1 submitted to app store (pending for approval now), fixes problems introduced at Homey v0.9.x
