I've purchased the phillio and the PIR is working great. I thought it would also report LUX, but apparently I was "mitsaken" in that.. (or the homey drivers don't support it) I've also laid the ground cable to the near edge of the gardan (under the …

i've run some basic scans against homey on my network and the last time i did it, nessus didn't find any vulnerabilities. can't say that about other devices on my network (like my providers router, or my smart tv, or my samsung android phone). If h…

Not contributing to your answer, but how / where can I see an exclamation mark when i would use a reserved word?

looks like the only wiring you need to figure out is connecting it to the mains... As far as i can tell it is a siren 12v dc connected by adapter on 230v with a z-wave plug in between.. the z-wave plug makes it 'smart' but i might be wrong.. also…

siren is good. That's the one i'm using as well.. has two functions, doorbell and alarm/siren PIR sensors is what i've ordered at robbshop.. he has a deal for a package of 4. https://www.robbshop.nl/set-4-bewegingsmelders-neo-coolcam

Thanks for all the input guys.. i'm thinking about the phillio outdoor sensor. This has z-wave support and is designed for outdoor use (already waterproof). Together with normal light fixtures that have some space available for dimmers. The phil…

I'm currently using ifttt for my flow initiators.. ifttt can also detect your location.. plus setting a variable for being home or away

i'm using a z-wave siren (Neo Coolcam SIren) doesn't cost much; https://www.robbshop.nl/alarm-sirene-z-wave-plus-neo-coolcam and does give off some noise but is for indoors only

i also still need to buy lights for in the garden.. was thinking about either some led-strips (dimmed to the least visible light, so it would kind of mark the path) and some spots pointing to some of the trees (from below) for indirect lighting and…

That was something I was also thinking about.. but then I'd have to manually fine tune the lux settings

that motion sensor looks nice.. easy to install and battery life for 2 years.. putting that one on the shopping list. for lux i could indeed put a sensor indoors by the window pointing outwards. leaves me with the dimmer, but as DaneeDeKruyff said..…

Sorry about the silence.. was a bit preoccupied.. But I'm back again I don't think (or at least don't know) I can change the notification sound for the homey app on Android. (and pushbullet only has a limit number of sounds)

at 300 meters it does detect me driving in my street to home, but it also thinks I've left when I'm in the garden.. don't know if it is the phone that is passing on the wrong location, or if homey is taking a walk.. Is there a way to enable some d…

I've setup a basic notification with pushbullit. It seems to work, but the notification for that are a bit soft on android, not really a means to call a custom audio file (like an alarm or such).. But for now it'll do.. It is a more noticeable soun…
