  • Alternatively you can use the "away"-device as trigger and set the card to 'pressed / changed'. Then you don't have to check the device-tag. Another alternative is perhaps to use the sunset or sun-up as trigger and check the away-state.
  • @erlandjack: I've investigated your request (https://github.com/ArjanKranenburg/virtual-devices/issues/48), but I simply don't get a trigger from Homey when a button is held down or released.

  • No problem. When adding the Virtual Thermostat, you can opt for a state 'Automatic / Heat / Cool / Off'. You can use the Thermostat pressed/changed card to trigger a flow, check the state-tag's value in the 'and'-column and turn on/off your heater i…
  • Unfortunately the only way to transfer values between apps and devices is via a flow. You can also set the target temperature with a flow, via the 'Set the temperature' action-card. Just drag the tag from better-logic over the temperature-control a…
  • Hi, The Target Temperature is set in a Tag. In a flow, you can use it in any other device or app that supports setting values, incl better logic.
  • Thanks. If there’s anything else, Let me know.
  • Also, I’ve added a few github-pages to explain some things of the VD-app: https://arjankranenburg.github.io/virtual-devices/sensor
  • @konradwalsh I just published 0.7.0 in the Beta-channel and hopefully it brings you a step further. You can add a Measure Temperature to a Virtual Device with class Thermostat. You have to add a new device, though. You can set the Measure Temperatur…
  • Hi Christer, I get these crash-reports by mail, without knowing who's Homey it was. Apparently the ones of the last days were yours. I'd advise you to upgrade to the 0.6.6 version. It is in beta but it is not less than the stable version and will b…

  • As a starting point, I've added a Thermostat to the Virtual Devices App (beta-release 0.6.6). For now, you can only set the target temperature and the thermostat mode. Next step is to add a sensor, but perhaps this may already be useful.
  • Oy1974 said: Hi arie, thanks for the fast response. But the part you subscribe i understand. Cant figure out how to use it in a flow. For example in the then colum there is a open field "status" no dropdown so can you give a examble how to use …
  • I agree that that part could be more user friendly, but perhaps this helps: First you select a name and an icon, just like with a 'normal' virtual device. Then you specify the modes. Specify a name and an icon and press ‘add mode to the list’. Y…

  • The idea behind a mode is to set your house in a state with one switch. E.g. when on Holiday, you may want to use different timers for the lights and radiators. Or movie can mean that the lights are dimmed and you're not disturbed by phone or doorbe…

  • Hi, Thanks for your remark. Since I'm doing this in my spare-time, I will not commit myself to a date. Today a new Homey version is/will be released, and I'm waiting a bit how that turns out. After that I will pick up some new features and since I'…
