There is a nice xml tv grabber https://github.com/tvgrabbers/tvgrabnlpy . I used it in combination with kodi.

Is it maybe possible to ping IP? I gave on the dhcp server all my devices a fixed IP. So if I'm arround my home I automatically login at my wifi with my phone with fixed IP so I'm home :-)
