  • Hi. I just released a new version of the Z-Wave driver. Just check if your device works now using this new version.
  • Yesssss it's working (for my dimmer)

For other people who are looking for a working zwave dimmer this is the one I'm using:
    Everlux SKU: ZME_05433

@Icarus and @Priknr1 many thanks for the update
  • I also posted this in another topic (Düwe) but probably it belongs more in this topic since Düwi devices are now pat of Z-Wave.me.

At home I have the Düwi dimmer on the picture below (Model ZW BJ EDAN 300). Before the specific Z-Wave apps were introduced it used to work with my Homey (4 months ago) and I was able to set it to a percentage I want. However, now it's only recognized as a basic Z-Wave device and I'm only able to switch it on/off. Does somebody else also have this dimmer and is going to add it to this app?

    Thanks for your help smile

@Icarus and @Priknr1 one question about the app it seems that when I manual but the dimmer on this isn't reported back to the homey UI (and the dashboard app). Is this how it should work? can this be changed by settings on the dimmer or z-wave app?

When the dimmer is activated by flow (motion detection) then it is reporting back the correct state in the homey UI.
  • For now, all credit still goes to Icarus,  I started adding my devices in the app and wanted to test them at home, but as stated before, work got in the way.

As far as I can see now, it wont be before christmas that I really have time to play a little with the app and test and add functionality.

@Menno The manual operation of a dimmer being reported back to the controller is something that zwave.me is having as an advantage on the "normal" z-wave.
It might be that this needs some extra programming in the z.wave driver by athom.
Or it might be something that needs to be added in the app. If Icarus hasn't had a look at it by christmas, I might.
  • No problem!
who needs manual control when you've a homey that can do it for you ;-)
  • Hi. I just updated the app to include the latest Z-Wave driver from Athom. Maybe this will solve some problems regarding the status updates from the switch back to Homey. I also got a couple of messages that the Z-Wave.Me driver app crashed on a Homey with OS version 0.8.x. Whoever is using that kind of old OS should really update his firmware if you ask me :o
  • Nice will test it this evening!
  • @Priknr1 Are you talking about support for the http://www.pepper1.net/zwavedb/device/33 ?

Probably people who reflashed their firmware using the methods on the forum...
  • @Michael , Yes I will include that one too.

@Icarus your repository on github isnt updated for 4 months.
Is that correct? since you updated the app this month.. :S or am I misunderstanding something?
Or am I just looking in the wrong repository?
    https://github.com/bkockx/homey-zwave.me

Never mind, found the correct repository. Maybe you should state the link in your first post. or am I realy blind and is it somewhere already?
  • The link is actually in the app store. But I will add it the next time I'm updating the app  :)
  • I made an inventory on the duwi devices.
I will start working on expending the app with the following devices:

If anyone has a zwave.me / duwi / schuko device that is not working in the app yet, and is also not in this list,

Please provide me: Manufacturer, Product Type ID and Product ID
And what kind of device it is please, or the pepper1.net link

  • @Priknr1 ;I'm missing the following device in the list. I currently have it controlled by Homey as a basic Z-Wave device (only on and off). Before the update of Homey to control Z-wave devices via an app it used to work perfectly (so there should be a way to get it to work).

    05458
no link known (see photo of the device in my post on 14-November-2016)
    Duwi built in dimmer
Manufacturer:         100 (obtained by clicking on the wrench icon in the device manager in Homey)
Product Type ID:     1 (obtained by clicking on the wrench icon in the device manager in Homey)
Product ID:         0 (obtained by clicking on the wrench icon in the device manager in Homey)

I also saw some other info about this dimmer on the following forum: https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11353 . Don't know it his is helpful for you.

Let me know if I need to test anything.

Wall switch/dimmer   (Plak schakelaar op batterijen)

Ik ga even checken of de id's overeenkomen.
    Google cache PDF:

Dit is de laatste in jouw lijstje denk ik: (Die mist een getal)
    054337 EDAN300
    Inbouwdimmer
    Link met classes
    https://www.betaalbare-domotica.nl/media/blfa_files/DUW_054337.pdf
    Lijkt denk ik op
    http://www.pepper1.net/zwavedb/device/33

  • I have a WALLC-2 switch which I am trying to add to homey as a generic Z-wave device but it locks up during the learning process in the INTERVIEW_MULTI_CHANNEL step. Any one got a tip on how to add it?
  • @mauriceb
have it closer to your homey (or homey closer to the switch)
  • @caseda It's right next to homey :)

Dit zijn wel degelijk de specifieke ID's voor dit device. De link naar device 33 klopt dus, en dit is dus de 054436

I rewrote the driver, and tested it at home. It worked without errors.
Added some of my devices, all working fine.

I will clean stuff a bit, and add comment and stuff in the app.
But you should receive an update of the app soon. :)

    EDIT:
    @Icarus
I just uploaded it to github and added a pull request. This was a first timer for me, so let me know if I did it all correct.

After I guess a time out in the INTERVIEW_MULTI_CHANNEL Homey starts the adding process again and after putting the button in Inclusion mode, Homey reports that the device is already added. When I check my devices I cannot find it but I am able to remove it and start the above process again.

    Is this a known issue?
  • @mauriceb Go to setting-->zwave
There is a button there,  saying Remove device.
Click it, and then put the device in learning mode.

    It should now be removed.

    Try and add it again.
  • @Priknr1 Already did that and tried adding it. But Homey appears to end up in an endless loop of adding. Even the time-out of the learning period is ignored.

I had the same when testing a few days ago, it does get added and my device says its included in some network. But unfindable in homey, even after a restart of homey.

It happens when it times out on getting some sort of properties/setting group policies.
But this was before i updated to Homey version 1.1.2, i believe i was on 1.05 at that time.
@mauriceb , which firmware are you running? Because there where a few zwave things fixed in latest versions.

    @luccie_007 ; I am currently running the latest 1.1.2.

And indeed I already tried a reboot but that did not help either.

Yeah its merged :D now hope they will update the app soon

    Thanks both of you!
  • So I just tested the app before I asked for approval to process the update in the Athom appstore. A couple of issues arose:
    • You added to categories that don't exist in the appstore so I had to remove them;
    • You added a capability 'meter_power' the doesn't exist in the Z-Wave driver so I had to remove that to.
Currently the update is pending approval. As soon as Athom approves I will update the app in the appstore.
