Will a today unboxed homey still suffer about the "brick issue" or will is update with/to the fixed firmware?
I ask this because I still read that people just unboxed there Homey and if its clear to them the could just update there homey without there fingers crossed.
I have already see this topic but I don't see homey's ip on my local network...
I don't know what I can do more to unblock it ...
I don't remember if homey gives choice to do not make update ...
But you'll need a Mac or Linux pc.
If you continue to have trouble, know that you can contact support by mailing to support@athom.com .

BUT only if you have an MAC or Raspberry pi 2 because I test recovery file on :
- Ubuntu 14 on USB stick
- Ubuntu 14 with VM
- Ubuntu 14 install directly
But no recovery could be flashed ... (error "write_reg_command err=-1, last_trans=0").
The support know this and advice to do it with MAC or Raspberry...
Now, I need to find apple fan friend, and support all troll jokes about war between Os X, Windows and Linux... ^^
