Trigger on switch state, state change or both possible ?

Hi,

In my current failbaro hcl I can only trigger an action on switch state.
For example the system checks wether a switch is in on or in off state.
If I want to trigger an action when a switch is turned off, it is triggered when I flip the switch from on to off but also as long as the current state is off.
Is it possible for homey to to make a difference between state off and state change to off ?
Example :
If tv switch state changed to off then turn home theater system off.

Now In the failbaro (hcl) system this would mean you cannot listen to you music while your tv is switched off (it will automatically switch off the hts as long as the tv is off, while you only want to switch off your hts if the tv is turned off.

Same should be applied to motion detection.
It should be possible (IMHO) to make a difference between motion status (motion/no motion) and state change (motion detected/no motion detected).

Is this already possible or is it possible for you to add this function or please let me know if you think different ?

Thanks in advance!

The flow editor works with triggers (when something happens) and conditions (when something is true). Triggers activate the flow, conditions may prevent the actions from running if one of them isn't true.

'When the TV is turned on' would be a trigger. 'The TV is currently turned on' would be a condition.

  • Perfect! Best of both! I knew you guys were asome ! :-)
