The 3 seconds search led me to this topic. And this topic led me to the link you gave with your grumpy message.
And now I wasted an hour of my life plowing though all the pages of that long nightmare thread to learn that noone even mentions the Aeotec Door/Window Sensor Gen5 in that thread.
So the question remains unanswered. How do we get our Windows sensor to work? I am puzzled why the Gen6 is supported but not the Gen5. Normally it is the latest and greatest that is waiting for support.
Is there anyway one can use the device using the generic Z-wave thingy? I am totally new to Z-wave and I have owned my Homey for ... 6 hours so please no grumpy answers about what I should have read or should have searched. I have that and 2 Z-wave devices. And the first one gives me trouble.
The generic Z-wave thing seems to detect the magnet. But there is an intrusion microswitch. I can see the device flashes red when I click it. I would be interested in abusing this device as two inputs. One that checks the door is closed and another small reed relay that can see if the door is locked. If I can detect both switches then the rest is hardware hacking which is my home turf.

So you can add your request to that issue...
As for the searching: to keep things clean you better ask the question in the Aeotec-thread. I'll close this issue and will merge this with the main Aeotec-thread later.
