Yes, however we can't guarantee the quality of the recognition then. Using Hey Homey enabled us to create a much better 'acoustic model', because we have a lot of different people saying it. But if you're the only person using your custom trigger, it'll probably work just fine.
Hi,
What STT are you using to recognise the key phrase, can i use voxforge to create an acoustic model for Homey.
Thanks
Nope, we use sensory. Just just say your keyword three times and it's recorded.

Hello, professor.
Professor Wells? :-)
I was pointed here by BasPost, i'm glad that this is added!
Mine is going to be called "Harry" or "Frikandel" :P
Baymax ;-)
Watched "Chappie" yesterday, I liked it.
So "Chappie" would also be a fun alternative!
Question: can you give Homey 2 (multiple) names? I'm really thinking of going with JARVIS, but 2 syllables (thank you google translate) might get annoying quickly, so i would also like the option 'Hey J'
just wondering
'Hey J' is about the same as 2 syllables, isn't it? :?
euh good point... i thought you would always need to say 'hey $name$'... but otherwise its still 1 win on syllables from 3 to 2
If I remember correctly, you need to say the 'Hey' if you would change Homeys name to just 'Jarvis'.
But renaming it to just 'J' would probably not give a very good recognition result, that's too short .
Then I will make it 'Jay'
Hopefully I would be able to restart the voice recognition later again if I have problems then.
Hm. I think I should choose another name for Homey.
But still, our trigger (`OK Homey`, yes we've changed it from `Hey Homey`) will probably work best in all cases because it's customly designed.
