IR Codes, can Homey learn them?

Hi all,
New to the forum and i just have a question (for now ;) ) about Homey and its IR....are they only transmitters? so Homey can not learn IR codes?

    OK, so i can tell Homey to turn on the TV (=amp + tv + settop box all on, switch amp to TV) then tell Homey to switch to a certain channel?
    If so...this is a revolution in Domotica!!! as you didn`t already know haha

    Was already sold at the end of the video, been tampering quite a bit with other domotica stuff....this is a whole new level and an added bonus is the fast resonse ;)
