Bram said: Did you already read this article about how Homey knows your location? https://www.athom.com/en/support/KB000034/ Yes. So is that saying that when my wifi drops or my phone disconnects from wifi it assumes I have left, even if…

Bram said: This is a default function in Homey. You can disable the presence notifications via Settings --> Notifications in the desktop application Thanks. I don't mind them, but i'd like to understand how they work - if it's using m…

Tallguy said: Are you using the default presence app? And also iOS? If so...use the search function here and search for an alternative called Owntracks. I'm not sure what I'm using - it seems to have been defaulted to track this somehow…

RemcoHannink said: Someone reverse engineered the original firmware of the SonOffs. There's no longer a need to flash them with alternative firmware. It is already implemented for Domoticz. Should be not to big a problem to port this to Homey:…

Hi there - did you solve this? I came across this guide (http://windowsmediacenter.blogspot.fr/2016/10/z-wave-rfid-keypad-for-alarm-system.html) which seems like it would work, although I'd like a pad with slightly higher WAF so hoping others have f…

@mbalik79 Just wanted to follow up on the above - which firmware are you using on Sonoff?

Thanks. As yet I don't have anything other than a couple of Zigbee devices which i plan to get rid of, but planning out my system and i think having a few Zwave plugs scattered around as boosters probably makes sense!

bvdbos said: I'd say Ethernet over power but if you don't want that wifi. Though the frequency of wifi is higher then Zwave so less distance for the same power, the output is much higher (typically 76 mW for wifi and 1 mW for zwave). …

Is there an external reader for NFC that can work with Homey? My homey won't be in a good place for my NFC I don't think... Also, can you read NFC from your phone (to detect a specific device?) or does it need to be tag?

I love the look of the Netatmo Welcome - the facial recognition seems great and reduce the false positives after time. I'm not sure how it will play with Homey tho and I think I'd need to know that before I sump out for anything

Ah ha! Back to the thread subject - I'm comparing the Coolcam PIR's with the Fibaro ones and obviously they only have the PIR and light level detection - fine. What i'm wondering tho is can you set the sensitivity like you can with the Fibaro? Be…

NeefRoel said: looks like the only wiring you need to figure out is connecting it to the mains... As far as i can tell it is a siren 12v dc connected by adapter on 230v with a z-wave plug in between.. the z-wave plug makes it 'smart' but i m…

There are several options for UK like indicated above... 95% of my plugs are installed at places not in plain sight... so yes, it could also be ugly and bulky, as long as it operates reliably (absolute WAF killer if not)... For the few in full sigh…

It seems that Fibaro don't do a UK power plug so I don't have the luxury of being able to use those to boost I'll have to hope that other brand wall plugs do the same thing Do these PIR's def have the ability to detect light level? That and motion…

Oh, that's a shame. So any camera would need it's own App etc? I guess that means you can't use the camera to do anything else however. Could you provide more details on the workaround?

Just wanted to give this a bump - came across the following which looks like it's a kit to do essentially what I want to do. https://www.uk-automation.co.uk/z-wave-exterior-alarm-kit/ It's not in stock, but if I can work out the wiring then doing …
