I would probably buy Homey again if I would know for sure the hardware is OK. At this moment this is not clear for me. Software issues can be solved but hardware issues cannot be fixed that easily. If there for example is a real issue with the place…

Update works now, last update just was not completed. My mistake. Everything seems to work fine. Congrats to the Homey team for achieving this big milestone. I am sure it will be a great succes.

Installed 1.01, "lost" almost all devices (Icons still there but with question mark), resetted Homey and automatically went back to 0.10.9. Luckily all devices and flow were back. Very funny.

I think the only way to get your wife really happy is by selling the Homey, buy flowers and take her out for dinner. Give whatever is left of the money to her to buy shoes, handbags or any other completely useless stuff. Only problem now is that YOU…

If you want cheap check out the WeMos D1 Mini WiFi board. It can be programmed with the Arduino IDE and controlled with the HTTP Get app. It can act as a webserver / webclient at the same time. With this hardware one can make it's own dirt cheap WiF…

Looks like Athom needs to come up with a Hubble-ish kind of solution. The IR LEDS could use some glasses.

Luckily I am not working for the government, but this company behaves in a similar way. It is a multinational with too much money and a lot of stupid managers. And even though they can hardly go bankrupt I indeed am looking for another job. It is ve…

At my work they completely redeveloped the information system. It took them seven years with a huge team of developers, coders, software engineers etc., costed over 25 million USD and it is still not working. On top of that they invented nothing new…

Tried that and it works. Great. Thanks for the tip. I noticed that Homey is more sensible for IR signals when you point to the "front" of the sphere. I thought it was 360 degrees sensible. Or maybe I was just in the wrong position.
