Wow.. that was a long read. I have been away to long... To bad homey is delayed a little longer. My birthday is on feb 3rd and i was hoping to show it off at one of my infamous "sitting in a circle staying silent dutch style" party's! Good to read…

@Emile. Keep up the good work. Don't be tricked into hurrying the last stage of manufacturing and your last chance to kill those last bugs before it gets shipped, reviewed and judged. It must have been one hell of a ride for the athom team, dont m…

Lmao.. you cant blame the guy for plugging his own project. But emiles reactions just made me lol

And never use soap as a lubricant. . Despite of what you may read in forums..

@roberte hits the spot.. just make sure you are flexible.. I moved into my new house a few weeks ago and used about 175 cat6 cable in it.. and its a simple "rijtjeshuis".. nothing fancy. Dont try to plan where you are placing your sensors, lights…

Athomey said: I would ship them after tests, and wait first for responses BEFORE ordering the rest. :-) Also a perfectly valid stratigy. Even if it means I would be waiting a little longer.. but I think most would disagree.

I hate to be the guy who akses for delays.. but if the new pcb's are different from the rest I would run a full test again, not just on the ir.

I ordered homey so I would never have lo leave the couch again. Picking up homey means leaving my couch. I need a homey to pick up my homey..

I am loving the Santa idea.. but I would distribute it between geeks that actually made an app (probably not me).. makes for a nice incentive for developers. On the other hand.. athom might need some spare parts for the first defective devices.

@daylfy afaik this is the first batch that came out of mass production that is not to be considered a prototype. There was nothing else to test that has folowed the same preduction proces. JurgenHuijbregts said: JaapPelt said: …

but i get the imporession you have not tested everything as it should, the problems you bring up should imo have been filtert out before you were on the stage of shipping. @ daylfy is'nt that exacly what they are doing?

@moek. Lol, i didnt even read your post. The post was aimed at @emile. I just cant imagine a "tweaker" that has access to a working production line buying an off shelf solution.

If you build it, he wil come..

@Moek You simply cannot expect that athom will be replying within the hour or day in, what probably is, the busiest time of thier lives.

Wow.. that was fast.

The would be awsome. But must be hard to program. No sneeze is the same and there will be no "hey homey" before it. If Athom could pull that off i would be in awe..
