  • It can definitely destroy wireless communication. (and more)  I've had a few power kabels bundled together (normal 230v) but these together could cause so much interference that one of the cables that was plugged into an Fibaro Wall Plug (and bundl…
  • Because Kaku has no feedback whatsoever, and is not possible to add easy in software even with Logic app if you are using the receiver Kaku. I guess you have 4 options: 1. Change the Kaku for a Z-wave variant. 2. Change the Kaku receiver to a send…

  • @Vagabond ;; It should be possible when you are adding it as a device. (so you need to delete it first, reset the sensor and then while adding there should be an option.) You are not able to unchecked it afterwards. This is with every controller (…
  • The LEDring brightness did affect the responsiveness to my speech. It became less able to understand what I said (more gibberish), as if the brightness is linked with the microphone(s) I don't however know if it still was in 8.29 or 8.30 already.
  • @Peao  I will try to look into that when I can find a spot for it today   Maybe d-link is using different default values, including one for communicating to other nodes
  • @Peao ; You've put the wake up interval on 86400 = 24 hours.! default = 7200 = 1 hour I think this is your problem.  Plus adding Homey's I'd to group 2 gets removed thanks to the UI. Because it states that there cannot be any id's (see the informat…
  • @rob_houweling  maybe a quick fix that will make it better: restart (NOT RESET) your z-wave chip from within the settings menu
  • @ThijsDeJong  (no homo, just nostalgic factor @ this forum)
  • Lol, more experienced, i've only touched z-wave for the first time since last Tuesday (so almost a week now). Just a fast learner and i find it easy to put 1 and 1 together. But i do agree with you that until homey their Z-Wave firmware has been mor…
  • @JanH  Not necessarily, Group 1 will always be Secure in the Secured mode, even when parameter 18 = 0 Sorry, i forgot to add that to the parameter 18 explanation.
  • @Vagabond ; Hmm, i guess i misread it somewhere.. As it seems you can not take off the secure tick with the B-Button.. As in, you can not take off the secure completely. There is, however, a Parameter for them Parameter 18: Associations in Z-Wave n…
  • @ZperX ; It is not possible to add firmware v3.2 to an v2.5 - v2.8 sensor. v3.2 is Z-Wave plus only, which is a new (and thus completely different) chip inside the sensor. And i guess you are indeed familiar enough with the parameters, because you …
  • goodygumdrops.! the extender came a day early, woohoo. My experience of the last 20/30 minutes, it workes (like a charm). But is a little bit fiddly about the location you put it in. Have been moving it about for several minutes to find a spot that…
  • They use the same protocol, as the remotes are interchangeable as well. (if you keep in mind there are 3 different types, RGB, RGBW & White)

  • @MathijsFrencken  If you have the wifi module, Doesn't it work if you add it as a "normal" bulb? For me it works at least with the LED-strips

  • @DJF3 ; That is probably a mobile app error, not a homey one.  Check if you still can connect to your homey with the mobile app, and also see your devices in the app
  • @TedTolboom  Good suggestion.  I will add an "Useful Links" section when I get home.  Little bit too cumbersome to do this edit on my phone
  • @DaneeDeKruyff  That actually makes a lot of sense, the range being 0 - 255 = 1 byte.  Changing it.
  • @TedTolboom  i was thinking about that, after already placed it here.!? but i have it put in his own discussion now: https://forum.athom.com/discussion/1288/how-to-z-wave-devices And thank you for the (great) example for how to read the manual. and…
  • @Fire69  Thats a good observation, changed it, and thanks you @BasVanDenBosch   Haven't seen any devices use 4 bytes (thats alot of information!) but added it.
  • @ThijsDeJong ;;;;; I know what you mean, but even if i was a "super user", what i'm not, i just started with Z-Wave as well, can't/dont want to know all the manuals of all the devices, too bad there is no equilibrium in this from the different brand…
  • @thayoung1  I will let you know when i receive it this next Tuesday. It should work, it just re-sends the signal, so be wary of a small delay because of this.
  • Have you all read in what Association Group you need when adding your z-wave device? It is different for ALOT of devices and is only obtainable by reading the manual of the said device. or did you just pick a random group or "None". Homey's Z-Wave f…
  • The range of KaKu & homey, isn't big to speak of indeed. (definitely not the specified distance KaKu states) I have the same problem with one i have at the backside of my garden. (14/15 Meters) I ordered an extender for KaKu see if it helps. Th…
  • And for the people that CAN NOT speak English (properly enough), they can: * ask the giver of the solution in a DM, understanding just a subject isn't hard * just ask the question in Dutch and stating they only understand Dutch (or any other langu…
  • i had this problem as wel a few days back, but no clue how it was fixed eventually, it suddenly worked again after a normal reboot. (from within the setting menu). So just fingers crossed when rebooting?

  • sold over the world* how would you think if the people on the forum suddenly started to type in just French or Spanish, and just a few that come through in English.. Would you search? or add Another topic for something that might be already fixed in…
  • @btwvince  have you tried powering homey off and on again? (unplug power cord) It might be the 433 chip that crashed, this won't be fixxed by restarting or reinstalling the app. This is a well known issue, that is slowly getting better in time.
in Kaku /CoCo Comment by caseda April 2016
  • @BasVanDenBosch  you are correct about the "Inclusion" and "Exclusion" buttons. Theses are for adding(& removing) homey to an existing Z-Wave network (other controller) as a device.
  • Maybe it has got to do with being able to change/set the parameters from within flows, and are these conflicting with each other.(?) I can't try this at the moment because don't have time/crashed homey (different cause). But maybe someone else can…
