  • Yes indeed the flow editor feels smoother. This update haven`t broke anything.
  • The competition? It is not just remote but home automation. I am sure they have a hybrid database with some 3rd party codes and their own. There is no way they can build a database for all/most products manufactured all around the world in the last …
  • @Robinjo ;; Some has already tried that but that alone is not the answer. It still deep, the used OSRAM chip having tight beam angle, the IR beams are not overlapping + the board has a tilt (what helps sometimes, in other cases makes it is worse). S…
  • But to be honest the Transmitting signal is much better than it used to be. Now the receiving side is less sensitive. But because it used to be extraordinary, they surly have the ability to restore it. I hope they will tackle at least the Zwave ran…
  • Erwin1 said: But when Homey stands 6 meters away and at a 45 degree angle, it's apparently to far to be received by the Samsung TV.  The TV remote does work from this distance...  So the power of the IR leds seems to be not that high, maybe this c…
  • HellHound said: @ZperX This means the app has crashed or killed for a reason. First, remove the app from Homey's Devices. Check your Tado login and password under Homey Settings > Tado. Try the login and password on https://my.tado.com, i…
  • I feel your pain. I have issues with Tado. It works for everyone but me. It is weird that with the same hardware and firmware we get different results. I suspect when we wipe homey it is not wiped completely, there are some rubbish left behind.
  • Lets create a new topic then: So, it's Thursday... But will this be a bugfix Thursday?
  • Erwin1 said: Anyone else having problems with their IR? Both custom IR device (training the buttons) and Samsung TV built in IR doesn't seem to be sending an IR signal. I've added these devices separately (so not one directly after the other)…
  • Ok I did not have to reboot it. I just had to force homey to speak by adjusting speaker volume slider.
  • I can confirm that the predefined IR codes can be received by TV without direct view (bounces). I have bumped into an issue: Homey does not stop listening. It is 5 minutes now and it is still continuously listening. It`s not that the LED ring is fr…
  • I have wiped homey again. Now I could add as a device but bumped into a new issue:
  • I have updated to 0.10.1 and completely wiped Homey but still can`t add Tado. It hangs on the New devices are being added page.
  • They called it improvement not rewrite. End even when they say rewrite should be divided with by 2. I expected to tackle the range issue with Z-wave rewrite... Also Emile said: No, we will not make an advanced editor like that. The current flow edit…
  • Don`t have high expectation. It is not 2.0, it is the flow editor with improvements. It is the same concept just they will add IF, ELSE and variable improvements.
  • Many phones have built in IR database and learning capabilities.
  • Yes that is what I meant. There are many apps. The real question if they would work smoothly with the dashboard (speed, functionality, etc.) Does anyone have an experience? I have only iPads at the moment.
  • superice said: Interesting, receiving should still be working fine as we've only edited the configurations, not so much the noise cancellation code. Are you aware of the fact that although Homey has six infrared LED (transmitters), it only ha…
  • Would it be possible to use the same android tablet (used for dashboard) as web server? That could save users from additional device (RPI) to buy, feed and clean.
  • @superice  Thank you so much for the in depth explanation. It is very much needed at this point and is very much appreciated. * Since you can convert between HEX and your code a partially editable central database would be more than valuable. Limit…
  • Yes totally with @jjtbsomhorst ;  Or as been mentioned many-many times on this forum: make a central database where we can directly add, rate and change IR codes by HEX, Pronto. Don`t underestimate the power of the community. Look at the app store.…
  • @nicor  I was thinking to get the same. They claim 150 meters outdoor range (and on robbshop, on amazon it says 200 meters). Please let us know your findings.  Last weekend I took homey out in the garden. And max range between the Homey and the Fib…
  • I have wiped homey. Than added just couple of flows. Two of them: Open the blind at 7:40 on weekdays and at 9:00 on weekend. Guess what today (Sunday) the blind went up at 7:40. Seems like homey does not know the days anymore.
  • No matter what I search for only the XYZ most model is available: The suggestion to add IR by HEX or other codes and sharing codes been ignored too.
  • IR listening only works with pre-defined codes but Homey is very insensitive now. You have to press the button many times and you have to point to Homey accurately. In the past it could receive one single signal with 2-3 bounce! Very disappointing.
  • Can`t even send an IR signal (I have added one single remote from the list): Practically IR is useless
  • Installation went smoothly. However: * IR learner does not work. (or the IR sender). I have added a philips remote manually but it does not send the signal from flow when I set it to send every 10 sec * There is only IR send flow card. There is no…
