Using a self-signed certificate?

Yannick said: not for beacons Ah OK. I do not have any tokens, so can not test it out sadly.

Same here. Have 2 factor auth and with the generated code, login went fine.
-
But that is still the own tracks app that does not recognize the beacon right? Because if it does, it should send a waypoint message or a transition message to the MQTT broker.
-
@GertjanHanekamp You could try https://apps.athom.com/app/nl.scanno.mqtt This uses the base from my owntracks app. Perhaps this will be stable for you.

@youlabeest I do not see any transition message in you log. So the homey app did not receive any enter/leave events.
-
@youlabeest In Settings/Apps you have the possibility to disable/enable an app, but that should not be needed. As you changed the topic. I mean like this: If you add a trigger like that, it will add owntracks/# as topic. This specific topic wi…
-
@youlabeest Add a dummy trigger card with the topic owntracks/# And see what messages homey received. Most probably the topic you are subscribing to does not match the topic the owntracks app on your phone is posting on. In the picture it says …

And so many more possibilities

@chrisboer Nice to read your positive experience.

Skorpion said: @MennoVanGrinsven, Do you think there is a difference in speed when an arrive/leave report is sent when using Cloudmqtt vs an own hosted broker? Hard to say.. There should not be much difference. There is, but that is in …

Jerpet said: And how do I post an empty message on that topic in cloudmqtt? You could use the action card to post a message or something like MQTT lens (chrone plugin)

Jerpet said: I'm so happy with this solution. Couldn't get presence detection via WIFI to work properly on my girlfriends phone, but this works like a charm. Great job and thank you. There's only one thing I don't understand. In the beginning…

@adju I do not have anything yet, but as soon as it works for me some speech support (based on an actioncard) and cards without the need for a topic (just user)

@Eternity set the accuracy in the homey app on 50 meters.
-
@Eternity Check access rights on the MQTT broker? And make a dummy flow with topic owntracks/#
-
@Eternity Should be owntracks/+/+/event

Eternity said: @MennoVanGrinsven Exactly! My phone pops up notifications that it is entering / leaving a geofence. This information does not reach Homey. How do I get those transition events to Homey? I have set the radius to 50 and shar…

Are people here interested in a beta version as soon as i have finished some of the things i am working on? If so then i will also start publishing in the beta channel.
-
@Eternity i only see location events in your log the trigger will only fire when there is a transition message (i.e. enter/leave a geofence).
-
@eternity what topic did you subscribe to? owntracks/.. /.. /event? So in your case owntracks/Ernst/EvdB/event

@Eternity The log from the homey app shows that the app is not subscribed to any topics. Did you make a flow with one of the triggercards? Because at the moment you need at least one triggercard (in the next release that is solved and the app will…

@CliffBroeren Wait for the next update. There is a bug, or use the enter/leave trigger card.
