It would be nice to be able to specificy what IP adres the app should connect to. In my home situation i use my router as VPN endpoint and reroute all the internet traffic of my mobile devices through the VPN connection. I can also reach internal d…

I have a PMS running at home and am curious about the ways Homey can make use of it.

+1 I have a NR1604 as wel

Well I agree that RFC2324 aka Hyper Text Coffee Pot Control Protocol (HTCPCP/1.0) is really something that would be useful for Homey. It is just too bad that this was an April fools joke of the IETF

I was wondering about doorlocks. I have been reading about he three possible solutions. From what i read, the nuki would not be something that i personally would choose. I would say that a system that includes a cilinder is a more reliable solution.…

Like the product, would love when this is supported by Homey. Too bad they are so expensive

Now i am wondering. I have a Marantz receiver and a Plex mediaserver. The Marantz supports DLNA and is connected to my router (wired). My PMS has DLNA enbaled so the Marantz can stream from PMS. What are the possibilities with Homey in this setup?

The livolo switches look pretty nice. From what i read about it, it seems it is a but like kaku devices. They claim rfxcomm support , so i guess it is possible to use it with homey if the protocol is implemented.

yeah same here. My own cloud (caldav, carddav and webdav), mail server and so on

Emile, Personally i am not very happy in using third party proxies. But i am sure that homey can be accessed directly without using the proxy right? I am always connected to my home network using an openvpn connection.

Wrote linkio a message... their response: Linkio says: Hi Menno, our hub is compatible with z-wave and could probably be a slave mode to Homey which is a great project BTW ! The hardware is already compatible but we need to work on the software to…

it looks nive but from what i understand is that they use a 2.4ghz frequency and the modules connect to Le Hub. Le Hub can alsp be used to connect z-wave and zigbee modules..... so i do not think that the linkio modules can be controlled by homey...…

Anyone here have some experience with light switches? I want to start putting in coco or z wave switches to control the lights. As common in the Netherlands, I do not have a blue/neutral wire behind my switches. As far as I can see all z wave produc…

Looks interesting.

@Nico_GH2 I have not looked into the frequencies, i was just thinking about the possible things you can do with it. Besides that I really hope that the athom team will also look at home power management. Controlling the ventilation system is just o…

You also can think of: - when leaving home, switch the ventilation on the lowest speed - at night (when going to bed) switch ventilation to the lowest speed And offcourse when the temperature is low or high outside, switch the ventilation to low sp…

"Homey, please start XBMC, 24, season 9, episode 12, and bring me a beer and some popcorn!" Am I expecting too much now? I guess Homey is not able to control my wife to bring beer and popcorrn ;| Just for the record... it is a joke
-
If Homey is smart enough to remember what devices he already controlled (on/off, input of tv or receiver, ...) then it will be able to replace a Harmony. You won't be able to use them together, or both devices will get confused (unless you only use …
