  • The quote from JurgenHuijbregts about Emile being on vacation, came from Emile's last post in the Software status thread on this forum, not from Slack. So it is available to everyone here. See https://forum.athom.com/discussion/comment/28691/#Commen…
  • See also this thread... that should give you a few more ideas... see also this comment...
  • If it weren't for the "temporarily disabled IR" in 0.9.1, I'm sure they would have released 0.9.2 to stable, as everything else is definitely an improvement over the current "stable" 0.8.39.
  • Sommo said: is there any chance to see 0.9.1 in stable version tomorrow? thank you I assume that 0.9.1 will be moved to stable as soon as all the (Athom) apps that it broke, have been fixed.
  • MennoVanGrinsven said: I really wish athom would finally release a working KaKu app. My AWMR-230 and AWMD-250 are still not working. Now even Chromecast is broken. I was pretty happy up to firmware 0.8.35. KaKu was working great then. Em…

  • NPeters said: After a reboot the time is correct b.t.w. I hope this is permanent... I hope so too, for you. In my case, it clearly wasn't... every time I power off Homey and turn it back on, I get different results.
  • MarcoF said: The reason that the Android app is getting better results is because the microphone of your Phone is much better calibrated then Homey's Mics(yes multiple). Actually, the main reason why the Android app on your phone is g…

  • On the Kickstarter page this is called the "Geek Edition": GEEK EDITION: You will receive Homey, plus two wireless transceivers, enough jumper cables to hook it up... I know that early pre-orders were also able to upgrade to this Geek Edition …

  • Good point about the time... I was assuming he had the same issue that I had have (in my case, the time really was is incorrect, at one stage it was a difference of half an hour!), but yeah, those 2 hours could well be that he was looking at the GMT…
  • NPeters said: I received my Homey today, its great allthough some things dont work: - time is set wrong, timezone is correct but system time is 2 hours early. - i cannot get it to activate on my voice, except for when using mobile. - i made a f…
  • I assume those are the two Arduino modules... you probably checked the box on the website to add them to your order (back then)... Additional information on the interface to these module should become available in the near future

  • Patience is a better solution. support@athom.com WILL respond... it may just take them a couple of days. But RMA will not get you a working Homey any faster, so better just be patient...
  • [edit] sorry, saw your last post a bit too late... Yes, I have read posts from some other people who received a similar message on their Homey. My impression is, that there is conflict between Homey's built-in commands and the commands from one of …
  • ok, thanks a lot for the clarification... I really appreciate it.
  • superice said: That's not entirely true actually, the phone uses the same speech-to-text service and detection libraries as Homey itself. The trigger detection library is the same (the 'OK Homey' part), and it uses the same speech-to-text con…
  • I installed the desktop app, but I find that I still use Google Chrome a lot more than the app, to access my Homey. The reason being, that in chrome it's easy to switch to different tabs, such as status.athom.com, /manager/speech-input, /manager/spe…
  • You want it to be executed twice? Well, if that's the case, great for you!
  • Julian said: As I stated earlier I had the same thing, I created a custom flow which apparently is (now) similar to a built-in flow, so Homey executes the command twice instead of grinding to a stop by the conflict. Workaround: pick dif…
  • Hopefully, in time, we will get an option to disable individual built-in commands, to avoid conflicts between apps we have installed and the built-in functionality, so that we don't have to come up with alternative ways of phrasing what we want to s…
  • The conflict doesn't have to be with one of your flows... it could be a conflict between (for example) the Hue app and the built-in Homey commands (maybe both are triggered on "light"). So you could try if setting up your own flow, using different v…
  • @MarcoF I replied something like this before, but I'll repeat it... it sounds as if there's a conflict in your situation... either with some internal command from Homey, or with commands recognized by another app. Have you tried setting up a flow t…

  • Looks really nice (though for myself, I do prefer the current ball shape). I'm looking forward to those IR test results when you have a print without the holes in it...

  • You're wrong on the first part. When talking to (the Homey app on) your phone, you use the speech-to-text service of the phone itself (either Google's speech API, or Apple's speech API), not the speech-to-text service of your Homey. The app uses the…
  • It's not the microphone. Hardware wise, the two microphones that are in Homey are actually pretty good ones. It's the speech recognition intelligence (translation from speech to text) that is behind it, that is the problem. Athom are aware of this a…
