299 is what it is... no discount coupons... unless you wait for a discount at MediaMarkt (once they are available there for retail). And right now, there are a lot of things that don't work as well as they should. The device is very promising, and f…

1,2) In the web interface go to Settings/System, and at 'Stuff for Geeks' click on 'Show' Then you will see a couple of lines, including something like this: date 2016-04-26T10:59:33.675Z and timezone Europe/Amsterdam The Z behind the time…

There are quite a few commands built in by default... so even without any custom added flows, Homey can already do quite a bit...
-
@Vishwapreet You did make sure to use a powered USB hub, and not the RPi's own USB port (as stated in the instructions), right?

rob_houweling said: I know. And I am not doing much with homey yet. Just a couple of hue lights, 433 sockets and a couple of danfoss thermostats which I have not used in any flows yet. Just checked, I have 13 flows and 15 devices. Do y…

well, isn't that basically the same? word=(switch OR turn OR power) ?

I have a ThermoSmart thermostat linked to Homey, but that command still does nothing...

Fire69 said: Temperature/Temperatuur is a built-in command. If you just say 'ok homey, temperature', it will tell you the temperature.... Are you sure? That doesn't work for me. And I don't think Homey has a built-in thermometer, so if t…

IFTTT can at times be fairly unreliable...

try this: https://www.ivona.com/ Select the voice that you have on your Homey, type in a sentence that you heard Homey say, and listen to what it says. Is it the same as what you hear on your Homey?

RoelofRos said: would be interesting if you could replace 'words' to. switch=turn, poweron=turn so instead 'turn on the tv' you could also say 'switch on the tv' and just keep as keywords 'turn, tv and on' Yeah, unfortunately the …

I have noticed that the correct pronunciation is very important with Homey (and especially spaces between the words). Otherwise Homey can easily understand (and do) something that is completely different from what you intended...

What firmware version are you on? I believe there was a bug in an earlier version, that should be solved in the latest experimental version (0.8.30)
-
The first one, requires an EXACT match. Example: - If [You said "Turn on TV"] then [turn on the TV] But this flow would not trigger if you say, for example "Turn on the TV" or "Turn TV on". So it it less suitable for parsing complete sentences (bet…

With the help of these global variables, I got my 'get temperature' flow working now. My next issue (feature request?): The 'set temperature' flow doesn't accept variables. It would be nice if I could make a flow, where I could tell Homey to 'raise …

Yeah, got it to work now. I was still using my Better Logic variables, I hadn't understood that standard variables and Better Logic variables were incompatible.
-
Hmm... standard variables and Better Logic variables are not compatible? So I can't use the Better Logic cards on those variables? That's disappointing. I hope that will be improved. Is there anything like the 'variable management' screen of Better…

I tried that... can't get it to work. {{$variablename}} in my flows just results in Homey saying "variablename"
-
And a different example (different feature request)... would be cool to be able to do things like: 1. When [You say something that starts with "Say hi to"] then [Put the rest of the text into a variable] and [Say: "Hello" ] So that, when I say: "O…

Exactly.

I'm still too new at this Flow editor. Hadn't even noticed that option yet. Thanks, yeah, that works!

Also, make sure you're running NodeJS 4.4.2, not a newer version, or you may run into compatibility issues.

Question/feature request: What would it take, to be able to do something like this: If [I say something: "What is the temperature"] and [TempValue > 0] then [Say: The temperature is $TempValue] or even If [I say something: "What is the temper…
-
Hmm... problem with this flow is, that the "Say something" part doesn't just trigger when you ask for it... it also triggers at every temperature change. On top of that, my ThermoSmart seems to have some issues deciding on the temperature. Within …
-
Thanks, that looks like it should work. I'll give it a try! (though I still think it's kind of sad that we have to go through such lengths for something this simple, which should be supported by default. And it still doesn't allow me to query ThemoS…

I did manage to install BuienRadar, but maybe that's because it was one of the first two that I installed... [Edit] looking at the System Info, I see that, at 4.2MB, BuienRadar definitely is the largest app that I was able to install. Based on thes…

Okay, no built-in commands. No problem. But only being able to query the temperature after a change, that's disappointing. So my idea to make a flow where I can ask Homey what the current room temperature is, and/or ThermoSmart's current target temp…

@BasPost - did you try rebooting your Homey? I noticed that I could install 2 apps at a time, then the third one would always fail. But after a reboot, I could install 2 more (with some exceptions... still haven't been able to install the Kodi and H…
