My location is also set to automatic, and it appears to be determined correctly. As I said, the time is off, though... [Edit] more specifically: Current time: 21:36 Homey says: date 2016-04-23T20:08:18.877Z timezone Europe/Amsterdam

Got it working on my PC too, now... after rebooting the PC. Now the my.athom.com screen looks a whole lot fuller

Good question, I'd like to know too where I can change time settings. My homey is about half an hour(!) off when I ask the time! So it's not just a timezone thing...

Using Chrome (latest update) from my PC (Windows 7) , and yes, I did refresh. And if I replace the ,homey.athom.com with my internal IP address, it can't connect at all ("This site can’t be reached"). Accessing the same page from my phone works fine…

Great. Got it working (after only 2 attempts) using that same procedure. Updates all went well, and Homey is actually listening now. Time to start experimenting. The one thing this proves, is that it's definitely a software issue, not a hardware pro…

MartijnDeRhoter said: It might be a faulty unit? It's sad, but on average 3% of all devices that leave a factory are broken, so you may just be in that unlucky group. The Xbox 360 had a slightly higher RMA rate I doubt it. See also …

mruiter said: All i can say..... youre loss. Is nice play time with Homey and. see her grow Well, right now I can very well understand @MarcoF. I have my Homey since Wednesday, but it refuses to connect to my WiFi network (see the other…

Well, currently you can't go 'back' in firmware without that method. But you CAN disable the experimental mode, so that, from the next release version onwards, you're back on release versions...

Did all of that, and have been trying (at different times) for the past 3 days, so waiting didn't solve it for me, either. And yeah, I did receive an email reply from Stefan yesterday, after I had already answered a couple of questions from him. But…

Still waiting for a reply on my mail to Athom Support... hopefully then can provide a solution to this. I have to say, of all the issues Homey has, this definitely is the most disappointing. Just about every single device in my household can connec…

So we need to put range extenders right in front of the Homey, to make IR useful? That's disappointing! And yes, according to this Kickstarter update (and the associated video), IR range should be a lot better!
-
Unfortunately that's outside of my field of expertise, so I can't help you there. But yeah, I understand being busy... so I'll just wait until you have the time and opportunity to continue work on this. No rush, though!
-
This definitely sounds like something they'll need to fix before the "retail experience'.

@tedTolboom I I have a Netgear router (R6300). Parental controls are already disabled. And yeah, the localhost issue was mentioned in this thread as well. I assigned a static IP address to Homey's MAC address... doesn't make a difference. I've give…

I made a little bit of progress... I changed my SSID to lowercase, and set the password to lowercase (no special characters). I then rebooted Homey, it saw the lowercase SSID, and this time around, I get a different error: "Sorry, I could not reach …

@caseda I tried what you suggested, and disabled the 5G network in my router... no change. Homey still won't connect.

Same issue here. Homey refuses to connect to my WiFi network. My (Netgear) router provides 2 wireless networks... 2.4GHz g/h/n and 5GHz a/n/ac. (both WPA2-PSK [AES]) Homey (setup) doesn't appear to detect the 5GHz network, so trying to make Homey c…

My homey made it home as well! Welcome home, Homey! ... now onto the next challenge... getting Homey to connect to my WiFi network...

The strange thing is, on their support page, they phrase it like this: Now, go to the website https://setup.athom.com in your browser (preferably Google Chrome). This gives the impression that other browsers are supported as well... shouldn't th…

Plenty of open space... that shouldn't be a problem. Even though @rob_houweling is right and the thread that @MarcoF linked is about Homey's IR receiver, it may still be worthwhile to test if it makes a difference when you turn off Homey's LED ring.…

@JasperKort it's awfully quiet in this thread... any progress on the stand? Are we already able to order our own?
-
I assume that your devices are just out in the open (not all locked up in a cabinet or something)... so there is a clear line-of-sight from your location to the devices? Don't know if you've tested if the location of the devices in the room makes an…

Okay, here's a piece of text I managed to locate from the old thread (https://forum.athom.com/discussion/696/help-my-homey-is-not-responding-after-an-update/)... maybe this helps? I know it's incomplete, but that's all I've got...

Well, as @MarcoF stated... I also recommend contacting Athom support.

IR range should be a lot more than 1,5 meters. See also this youtube video...
