Mine is still on 0.8.32, and I don't see 1.1.2

My flow there is: If [you said anything] and [text contains "turn on"] and [text contains "TV'] then Harmony:[Start activity {TV}]

I thought the youtube app was a video app... I have my doubts that it works if you only have an audio output available...
-
Possibly... or he's just cleaning up before the weekend. I wonder if we get a new blog post today?

Following @Emile's advice, I've been doing a couple of test runs, and I have to say, this is very useful advice. For example: "TV on" has a recognition rate of approximately 33%, whereas "turn on the TV" is recognized correctly almost 100% of the ti…

@MG11 I agree the hardware is very promising, and Homey has a lot of potential. But I also foresee problems, especially if Athom keeps continuing the way they are going right now. So yes, I can very well understand why some people lose faith and …

Well, that would kind of defeat the purpose... I wanted to be able to test if Homey's setup (with Homey's microphones) would work better with a different speech-to-text server, not completely circumvent Homey's setup.

@jvreede As far as we know, the hardware is still the same as what was sent out to the very first batch backers. All the changes have been in software/firmware.

bartez234 said: @caseda @Bumblez Thanks for the tip! Is there a way (through flow or API) to erase the voice training without losing flow data? As far as we know, there currently is no way to undo voice training without doing a full reset.…

Panda said: When asking Homey, It is cold what temperature is it I get the response I'm sorry, but you don't seem to have thermostats. So I guess this flow is needed. I have the same problem; the built-in triggers don't work for me …

To be honest, I think the bad speech recognition isn't as much Homey itself, but is more an issue with the speech-to-text server that is used by Homey. I have to speak very clearly, put lots of space between words, and use short sentences (~2 words)…

@Mekte - in another thread I read that some other users, like Fire69 and BasVanDenBosch, did the same (start from fresh without training), and he had no more false positives. So yes, that should definitely improve the 'OK Homey' trigger. But as I sa…

Hmm... do activities that are triggered from this app, not trigger the 'activity changed' event? I was trying to set up a generic audio feedback, but that doesn't appear to work... [Edit] never mind... after a reboot, it's working now. Just not whe…

Now that I'm on .32, I managed to install the app, find my hub, and create flow cards without any problems. Looking good so far! Thanks for doing such an amazing job on this app! One small question... would it be possible to have a generic command …
-
Okay, I just gave it a try... it does indeed trigger, but reading the Dutch headlines in english makes it completely illegible. It's funny, but not useful that way. Pity...

Just upgraded to .32 - apps install correctly now, so that fix works. Thanks!

Does this app, and the associated Homey triggers, require that you have your Homey's language set to Dutch?

I don't think the pitch makes that much of a difference. I have a pretty low/heavy voice myself, and Homey listens quite well. My wife has a much higher pitch, and Homey listens to her as well. What I did notice, is that pronunciation is very import…

I agree with thayoung1... I'm on .30, haven't done the voice training, and Homey listens very well to both me and my wife... it doesn't trigger on OK, and haven't had any false positives yet.
-
@fuzzybear well, if you read this comment from Emile, it appears that the choice for this particular cable was also carefully considered, and not just any cable. So a slightly more flexible one may not have been an option...

Well, there are a couple of threads on this forum discussing problems that definitely seem to be related to hardware... for example issues with the IR range. Personally I haven't been able to test IR yet (I only have my Homey for a couple of days, p…

Bluetooth should be able to work... possibly simultaneous Zwave signals will disrupt it, but as long as Zwave is not transmitting at the same time, you should be able to send/receive useable Bluetooth signals.

Could that be... Homey's daddy?
