Settle said: I just tried and give correct credentials to the ring app within homey, but it denies access. Looks like still authentication doesn't work? Ring changed something in their API again.....ugh Version 2.0.2 should solve this i…

@Hans38 the 'generic alarm' is the doorbell press.
-
@shahzadsk battery is supported, maybe deleting and re-adding your Ring device in Homey will work.
-
@Hans38 that is all the functionality currently supported for every doorbell as described in the opening post.
-
@lucj Great thanks for testing. I just updated the app in the app store so you can use that version now if you want.
-
@lucj https://developer.athom.com/docs/apps/tutorial-Getting Started.html gives a basic description of how you can upload apps to Homey.
-
@shahzadsk A new update will be release soon to address this issue. Ring has changed their authentication protocol so that is why it is not working.
-
Everyone needs the new App because the authentication is changed. The old method is blocked and does not work anymore.
-
Ring changed their authentication method.....I implemented the new oauth method. Can anyone try it before I publish it to the app store? https://github.com/denniedegroot/com.ring
-
Yes I am looking at it right now, something with the authentication is not working.
-
No subscription is needed for doorbell/motion alarms, but you cannot record the images with Homey.

martijn1980 said: What features are available for this application? I have updated the first post with supported features.

@Menno I don't think there is any other way to do it until we have a official api available. I have debugged some details of the video stream but I have not yet been successful to stream it.
-
@chrisnash I don't own a StickUp Cam so I cannot test. If you are willing to test it should be fairly easy to make it work.
-
@Robebar I saw the Pizza, thanks!
-
@Menno Thanks for the feedback. The motion and ring timeout is currently 10 seconds, so triggering it within that time again won't do anything.
-
@Menno Just add, remove the device and revoke/create authentication, if you see anything weird just let me know.
-
A new version is on github and should be app store ready. Could you guys test this version?
-
Yes those things are on the list, also some cleanup before I submit it to the app store.

omg roflcopter what is this: https://github.com/denniedegroot/com.ring.git

@Martinvdm There is indeed no progress since my last response @mruiter and @Webster both have a unit and have some small issues which I still have to fix. The major problem is that making these units is very time consuming (pick and place / solder…

Yes you need to have the laptop on because that is were the music is stored and controlled from. Currently is not possible yet to play the music through the Homey speaker, maybe in the future when there is an API for it.

@Bumble for the Dutch language you can use the following words: "afspelen, pauzeer, speel af, hervat, volgend, vorig". Make sure the "Luister naar spraakopdrachten" option is enabled in the app settings. I will update the README with dutch commands …

@mruiter I did move but I have still lots to do, my front and back garden are still a big sandbox at the moment @Webster a option for a water meter should be no problem, this is probably only a small software change. I currently have 2 units whic…

I have made little progress these few months as I am preparing my new house. So after the move I hopefully will have some time to continue the project. The only thing I can report is that the hardware is verified and that the 5 units I currently hav…

@mauritsivs thanks for the logging it was very useful. I think I have identified and solved your issue. It could take however a few weeks before I push it to the app store because I want to implement some more functionality. But you can already test…

@LeonMols version 1.3.1 is released, are your pairing issues solved?
-
@MikeOne disabling the "required secure connections" option did the trick! This is not documented "yet" in first post. Thanks for your quick support and amazing app!
