Wow, congratulations for the troll post of the year!
-
@BasVanDenBosch: Basically agree with you but it wouldn't feel natural to me to speak English in my home. And my wife definitely would not like to do that either. Let's hope @Emile can clear that up.
-
Unfortunately this is no answer to my question, hopefully @Emile can shime in and give a roadmap on the release date of other languages.
-
In the video he just said that they will add other languages over time and I am wondering what that specifically means because that is a very important feature to me.
-
Ok guys, I am out. Let's hope everything works out great for everyone.
-
Whether it is a functional or dummy Homey doesn't matter, if your product stands in a retail store, you have gone retail (I should now, I own a retail company). So what Emile said was plain wrong, there is no talking around that. And for the last ti…

Emile said: Don't worry guys, we promised that every pre-order will get their Homey before any retailer and we still stand by that promise. We're going to retail when Homey is ready for retail. Wow, looks like we are all getting our Homeys yes…
-
I am a pre-order guy and I am not so sure that I will actually get a Homey before MM does... Just saying...
-
Wow, that's 283.20 GBP! Crazy expensive! I already searched for Mul-T-lock (see my original link a couple of posts above), but can't find much feedback on those locks. Does anybody own one and want to share some opinions?
-
They have basically zero English or German dealers, that's kind of crazy to me. On one of the NL dealer pages I saw something like 220€ but since I don't speak that language I have no idea if that's all you need and how good it actually is.
-
Here is the actual company website for the ENTR: http://entrlock.com. Does anyone know where to buy it or the price of that thing?
-
Yes, absolutely correct. Will these Fibaro modules work with Homey right out of the box?
-
@Bumblez: With all due respect, but this sounds like fanboy nonsense to me. The marketing slogan on the website implies that Homey can (without anything else necessary) speak to all of my wireless devices (I don't even need all, I need the important…
-
"Homey does not only speak with you, but also with all your (wireless) devices. Those of 10 years ago, your newest ones, and the ones you buy in the next few years." This is from the Athom website and clearly communicates that these features are alr…
-
@Michael: "When"! Like "when" Homey will ship... @Oy1974: Agree with you a 100%! If I would have looked in the forum first, I would have waited with my pre-order, too.
-
@Bumblez: You can just google about IFTTT and you will see that people came to the conclusion that it is a great idea and a nice thing to play around with but it is just not stable or quick enough for certain use cases (like AV control). @compadre:…
-
@Emile: Out of honest curiosity, how do you control your TV, audio system, Xbox and other stuff after you switched them on with Homey? With their regular remotes or do you use an universal remote, too?
-
But like @Emile mentioned a couple of times, they actually don't suggest to use voice control for AV equipment. He even said that he thinks the TV remote is the best TV remote, that's like saying the best way to turn on the lights is to use the ligh…
-
Community-App: That would mean that someone from the community would be willing and able(!) to develop that app and you definitely can't give Athom credit if that should happen (as they should just do it themselves). I am pointing again at all the r…
-
Unfortunately, you are a 100% correct at the moment. I don't see the logic behind that either but that's what the situation looks like right now, hopefully this will change pretty soon. Let's get @Emile to rethink that!
-
Wow, looks pretty amazing! Thank you very much for pointing me/us to it! :-)
-
Looks like a lot of us want an actual remote as a companion to our Homey, maybe in different ways, but the demand is there, let's hope @Emile and his crew are listening. :-)
-
I paid $349 for the Harmony Ultimate (that I hate), so money is not an issue in this case. ;-) I will probably give the Neeo a shot but I still hope that Homey will (truly) support a physical remote in the future. I am a fan of clean design and few …
-
@Fire69: Looks like we feel differently about our remotes! ;-) However, I definitely understand that way of thinking but since it doesn't look like they will include Harmony support, I was looking for a solution that is Harmony-like and available. A…
-
@Fire69: See, that's my problem, why would you want to use your Harmony for "Watch Movie" and Homey for lights and other stuff when Homey already can handle both. It can turn on the TV, change the input to ATV (or whatever) and control the lights at…
-
@Aljoen: Cool, thank you! Definitely appreciate it!
-
@Aljoen: Looks interesting to me but maybe a little limited, would love to test it though.
-
I would think so because you would just use Homey and the devices, so Homey should always be aware of what is going on with your TV and other devices (because it sent the last commands that affected those devices).
-
@Aljoen: You can probably program these scenes easily in the Homey system and give them a voice control. I don't know why you would want to program Homey to speak to your Harmony Hub and then to the devices if you could just use Homey directly. One …
-
@Fire69: But can the Harmony also control your lights (let's be honest, the Hue control is a joke), heating, toaster, shades and everything else in your home? No, it can't. So why use another remote for these things when everything could just be con…
