InfraRed

sending a custom IR signal from homey

Hi, i'm new to the Homey experience and like the versatility and open-endedness of the product. I want to try the following. i have a LG TV and it has a very (VERY) persistent issue where it likes to play with the darkness of the screen, so when there is a dark scene in a series or movie it decides to make it even darker. Even when you disable every setting that makes it possible for the tv to do it. (Eco, automatic color depth, brightness  and whatnot). I found a possible solution but to use it i need a infrared device that is programmable or a IR blaster for the smartphone, an IR blaster can be found for about 2 euros so that's not a problem, but still. I found sound files that when played and sent as IR signal will open up the service setting where a person can really permanently shut down the eco/auto brightness.

I looked through the apps in the store but couldn't find an IR app that is usable in this way but maybe i'm missing something, can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

You could be right, i lost something in the translation from dutch to English in my brain. But point is that can only shut it down in the service menu and the service menu is only accessible via a custom ir signal. and i'd like a way to send those sound files via ir ( these files http://openlgtv.org.ru/wiki/index.php/File:LG_SERVICE_IR_WAV.zip)
