There is a node.js Arlo API if someone is interested in developing https://www.npmjs.com/package/node-arlo-api
https://github.com/jeffreydwalter/arlo/wiki
Could any coders please take this on and help us develop an Arlo app?

I use it on homey via IFTTT and you can basically only arm/disarm arlo. You cannot activate custom modes.
The users on the arlo forum are already asking for 2 years for this feature..
If you would be able to activate custom modes via a homey app it would be great of course but if IFTTT is already not allowed to do it..
Edit: Apparently on SmartThings it does work: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Arlo-Idea-Exchange/Enable-Custom-Modes-from-IFTTT/idi-p/1260020/page/7#comments
I know this may not be helpful to all, but a developer on Smartthings added support for setting custom modes. The app is called ArloPilot. Once you work through some of the capitalization challenges it works great. For none Smartthings users this means that the API exists and is exposed, you can check it out the Github for the app.
Native support for Arlo would be highly desired. Arlo is really getting more acceptance and use. Should be officially supported.
Seems like samsung smart things are quickly catching up to Homey, come on guys, put that money to use continueing developing awesome stuff!
