One thing which is still strange, I get the motion detection instantly as well, but it seems the delay is in the traffic after that (turn on switch, please acknowledge, etc).
There can be a difference in secure or unsecured (this is for both battery and powered), with secure there is also the traffic:
sensor -> homey give me the current secure token,
homey -> sensor the secure token,
sensor -> homey a secured data line,
homey internally then decrypts the data and sees it is the motion on command
But in theorie this shouldn't cause even a second of delay.
Often big delays come from other zwave device(s) spamming homey with data that it also needs to process
I do not understand why I can't decide to add a z-wave device non-secure, it make no sense to add a bathroom motion sensor secure:P
in this case, i have bridge 2, motion and led strip, all hue.
Since i started using the motion sensors from coolcam , i never have those issues anymore.
And an advance is that they are much cheaper.
The first two or three months they all worked without delay but then I added some devices and problem with some Popp IP 44 plugs that stopped working and since then the lag started, Developer tools show 3 unknown devices which i can't find in the network graph or anywhere else. This might be the Popp switches that stopped working (i managed to exclude them but maybe not everything worked out when I did)
Hope this can help you find the cause.
Maybe somebody with more knowledge can figure out why this occurs if this solves the problem for more people.
I did have that sometimes also
I did have a Multisensor 6, did change that to a Fibaro cause it has direct associations.
For me it did not make any big different. I will do some more testing maybe next week, but i did put another multisensor 6 in the big hallway, and that one turns on a Qubino Switch. Maybe takes 0.5secs.
When useing direct associations it cannot be Homeys "Bad" cause the sensor talkes direct with the dimmer.
Im wondering if its the dimmers thats the problem? That it takes "1 sec" to dim up?
