  I have the mylight lights for About 2 years now and they works just fine ..i have 6 bulbs who can change color from warm white to cold white. 2 bulbs multi color. And 2 led strips multicolor. Everything can be managed with tablet,iPhone, and remote controle. It works perfect, but i hope my homey can handle it as Well.

  I'm interested in to buying mi light to start with. But what hardware does homey exactly need to work with mi light? Obviously the bulbs and the wifibox, but does it need the remote to connect them? Does it need other stuff like kaku? Would love some help on this, thanks in advance

  Homey will need a piece of software to talk to the wifibox. To be specific, the integration of this: https://gist.github.com/AppLamp-API/5576679.

  So you do not need extra hardware.

  So for hardware, just the wifibox and the bulbs are enough?

  As far as I can see, Homey can control Mi.Light, but someone has to develop an app for it? It won't work with an Homey "out of the box"?

  Got my Homey today and surprised to see a Mi-Light app in the app store already!! Unfortunately, like all other apps, it doesn't work yet and the interfaces are all bugged. So I think I'll give it a couple of months before trying again.

  We are almost year further now... Can someone explain me if it is possible to use the MiLights/applamps without a Milight/applamp Bridge? I bought 16 lamps, but no bridge because i thought my Homey would take care of this, but haven't found a solution yet.

  you need the bridge for your milight.

  You need the wifi bridge and then the light works great. There are only 4 groups so you have to distribute the 16 lamps somehow I guess or add extra bridges, that it also possible.
