Does Homey have the Z-wave or the newer Z-wave Plus chip?

Homey got a Z-Wave 500 series module which does support Z-Wave Plus.

In addition to this question does this Zwave chip support both the european and usa frequencies (at the same time). And if it supports both do you have to make choice or can you combine the two. (i ask this because i see a lot of reactions from oversees and the availibitity of USA zwave compatible devices is bigger then in Europe.
Combination is not possible, US frequencies are not allowed in Europe
