I have been looking at how to open it, but haven't dared it yet.
Also because the orb seems pretty fragile and easily scratched.
Somebody else will need to volunteer for it

I tried it but only problem is that my homey is still not doing what I tell him/her/it
So for now I let him/her/it live (till new firmware)

Probably I am missing some very fundamental thing but how do you connect the transceivers to homey without opening the casing?

uh , really?
well..

Because the transceivers should be connected to something like a RPI or a arduino. There will be a library/libraries to let those devices speak to Homey through the transceivers. (making a wireless connection with your custom device and Homey)

Ahhh. Uuups. That basic thing was not clear to me. I had the impression that RPI can communicate with homey via ethernet/WIFI.
