    Making a Modbus app is not so hard, problem is that each device has it's own coils and registers where the information is stored. So you would either need to make a modbus app for every device you want a serial connection with or you should make it somehow configurable during pairing of a modbus device. This requires a complex wizard and technical knowledge of the enduser about where the interesting data of his/her device is stored.
