hi all
I just want to give an idea that could give homey a big security leap ahead of other home automation systems.
if you could use blockchain in homey ... which will give homey a more secure data transactions

More seriously: how do you see this happening? What would the role of the blockchain be and what would be the benefit? The idea behind a blockchain is that there is a lack of trust between various parties involved and the mechanisms of a blockchain can add trust to transactions without a middleman by using various techniques (cryptography, P2P networks etc). For Homey I do not see any added value for using a blockchain, because there is no trust issue between involved parties within my home automation network. I don't need extra transactions to go outside my home and within my home there is no need for a blockchain.
If you want to secure data transactions, use cryptography and other security solutions.
