Homey stops including some devices at "Setting default association groups..."

I've been struggling to add some devices to Homey.  It seems to fall over at at "Setting default association groups...".  First with Aeotec Multisensor 6, as described here.  Now with Popp Smoke Detector.  Could somebody help me understand what is going wrong?

My guess is, that you have run into this problem:

Hello Yes, my report is 2396.  If I understood you correctly, you are indicating it might be something do to with timeout issue raised by another customer about Homey paring problems with other devices.  My experiences seem to be slightly different.  For the first Aeotec multisensor 6 it paired within a few minutes (on firmware 1.06 with the Homey about 3-4 metres away.  No other Aeotec Multisensor successfully paired until upgrade to version 1.11 (Github issue 2396 closed - obviously that doesn't affect the other device issues).
