Undo Zigbee device delete when no unpair

Hi

I just did a "forced remove" of a Zigbee device (An IKEA dimmer I got in a bundle with a bulb I never thought I could pair. Finally, I did!), i.e. I never unpaired the device according to the instructions I only managed to remove the icon. I can see the device connected as a "Unknown device" under the "Stuff for geeks" in Zigbee settings. When I try to add the device, I get an error message it is already paired. I have tried to use "Remove device" under settings w/o success.

Is it possible to undo the device delete/make it visible again under settings? I'd rather not do a reset of the Zigbee network as I just spent half a lifetime on paring a bunch of IKEA bulbs.

Thanks

  • Zigbee network reset won’t do you no good. You have to reset the device you want to include. I don’t know for Ikea, but normally there’s a reset procedure for devices. Read the manual.

The issue is the device is gone in "devices" but it's still there in the charts. Ran into that in the past:
    https://github.com/athombv/homey/issues/1718
This was possible by choosing "delete" in the charts but since they charts moved to developer this is not possible anymore.

Thanks. I take thred as this issue should be fixed by now. But I don’t understand what I should do different as I have done a forced remove already. A network reset does not seem to do the trick. Br
  • Forced removed from Homey does not implement that the device is removed from the network. Even a remove from within the zwave or zigbee tools don’t implement a reset of the device and a leave of the network. Have added and removed lot of zigbee devices during development of drivers and seen it a lot. You then have to reset the device itself to be sure it has left the zigbee network and can be included again, otherwise it wil state that it is already paired. Seen it for INNR, Philips, Xiaomi and Ubisys devices
  • Tried the 4 push in 5 sec and the press and hold for 10 sec. Not sure which thing that did the trick but after that I was able to add it again. Thanks guys
