When I addes the Telldus sensor I get it in as a unknown Z-Wave device, anyone know how to get it in as a magnetic sensor switch?

  • did you look at the app store?? if there is a app voor that device.

If not then its correct its added as unknown z-wave device
  • No there is no app for Telldus stuff, was hoping someone hade use settings and Raw Configuration to get it working or something :) smart.

I have been working on this, but not sure if I got the settings right yet. If you want you can test it. It works for me regarding detecting if it is open/closed, but not sure about battery readings and as I mentioned the settings. New to Homey apps.
To test it you would need to download and install the project onto you Homey.

If you didn't try it before, have a look here:
    https://developer.athom.com/docs/apps/tutorial-Getting%20Started.html

Skip step 4, just run or install my telldus app by following the instructions.

  • Nice, I hope to get some time this weekend to try it out :)

    @Maxer
I have started submission process to the app store as a beta application as well. Waiting for approval. If it is approved you could just install it like other apps.
Maybe you can do that already?

Did some testing last night, and I can add the door sensor and it works as long as i have it on my desk but when I move it to the Door where it should be it get out of range even if its less then 5m and I have a Fibaro motion sensor less then 2m from the doors sensor.
Then after it get out  of range it stops working even if I get it back to my desk.
And then when I try to remove it. It looks like its ok but when i look at the Z-Wave map it still there and I can see it in the Devices. So to get it out I have to reset my Z-Wave net and start all over again.
I havnt change any settings so no testing of that.
If I look at the settings I can only see Association group 2 and 3 cant see 1.

The sensor added easy that was good :)
So hope the rest can be fixed, greate work looks good.

  • I had to keep the sensor really close to Homey when including it. I thought that was a Z-wave security thing? I have had problems with this with other devices too. Just keep the sensor really close when adding it and I think it should be fine?!
Works from another floor for me. Got two sensors working good.
I don't think group one has settings? Or am I wrong?
Thank you by the way! :-)
  • This app is now live as a beta app in the app store btw.

  • It doesn't show in the appstore. Did you maybe add it as an alpha-app instead of beta or stable? Alpha-apps are only on invite.

Its adds easy, that not the problem, when Im in ther same room as my Homey it works fine, but when go over to the the door where it should be I get nothing from it. and then i have a Fibaro motion sensor in the same room as the door. So I was hoping that that sensor should help.
  • battery devices will not create mesh ,
  • Ah, thx
  • Did put in a wall plugg so now its working fine :) thx

@yhaugom I've nearly finished implementing the on/off plug and will make a pull request on monday. I will just verify it works first. Hope that's OK with you?  :)
It's not needed to use the plug, however there are some pros to having the correct app for it (correct icon, can select device class during inclusion).
  • @jolny I have a couple of Telldus switches so I'm really interested in the addition you're making to the app. What is the status, I can help testing if you need.
  • Started submission process to App Store for ver 1.0.1. Awaiting approval. You can clone my repo as well if you want to test it out before it's approved.

Nice work you have put in this. Are there any plans on adding support for the plug-in switch Mini (TZWP-102)
It just comes up as a unknown device. --->    https://telldus.com/se/produkt/plugin-mottagare-mini-z-wave/
