A plea for help from a Newbie!
I am in the process of specifying the HA infrastructure for a new house I am building. My background is sort of techie (Homevision, X-10, Comfort etc) but I'm not a programmer. For this reason I like the look of Homey as it seems to move the game on from other controllers. The issue, as with all devices, especially Z-wave ones is identifying devices which are KNOWN to work together. So here are my questions, does anybody :
- know of a light level sensor which is suitable for external use
- know of a way of controlling an Amazon Fire TV
- know of a remote IR blaster to control equipment which is in another room from Homey
Comments
for IR you could look for Marmitek
For outside light level, I use an indoor type, placed behind the window, looking outside, much cheaper.
