New Homey stuck in purple spinning LED after update

I got my Homey yesterday, connected to wifi and started downloading update to 1.5.3 and the voice-pack.
After that it just spins the purple led, even after 8 hours... holding it upside down and restarting doesn't help..

any ideas?

Even the biggest update should have Finished.

  • I opened a case yesterday, but the sugested solution did not work.

    1.) Unplug Homey
    2.) Flip Homey upside down
3.) While holding upside down, plug the power back in
4.) Wait until your hear "Hi, I'm Homey.." (this could take a while)
5.) Turn Homey the right side up again.

My homey just keep spinning the purple led no matter what I do.

step 3 will put homey into a "re-do firmware" state, not usable for normal users, only for athom purposes if something really bad happend with a homey and needs a new firmware flash, which is also a purple circling led ring. (different animation)

step 3 should be in 2 steps: insert the plug (while homey is right side up), wait at least 10 seconds, then hold homey upside down.
though that is an old way, and might not work anymore since the booting has changed since then.
  • well.. I got it working.. sort of... Homey is online and I can add apps. But I'm unable to add z-wave devices, the icon is grayed out... when I checked homey firmware it looks strange..
