Z-wave parameters - defaults.

Hi.

Does Homey reset z-wave device parameters to default when you clear the input field, or does it just leave the parameters on the device as they were?

    The RAW parameters you mean?
    I don’t think RAW parameters will be reset to default; how should Homey know which value is default (that is typically info added to the app)?

    But you can verify yourself in the Z-wave log (filtered on the node ID of the device in question); setting a RAW parameter will show a COMMAND_CLASS_CONFIGURATION command.. 

    when removing the RAW value, you will not see a similar command...

    Fibaro HCL can reset parameters of unknown and complete devices to default. Maybe it is something that the device should support?

    Maybe an app could be made to reset devices?

    Do non-raw parameters get reset or just stay set?

    Also, the fibaro can read parameters from devices - this made this sort of thing a little easier to investigate :)
