Can't use IR to trigger a flow

Philips TV infrared remote

Tried three options:

- Add Philips IR device from database -> no response when I use it as a trigger in a flow

- Add generic IR device and learn buttons -> works, including visual feedback when I press a button to learn it, but can't use this device as a trigger because it can only be use to send IR

- Philips IR device and learn new buttons -> no visual feedback, can't learn buttons

What I know:

- Philips IR remote works (because I can train the generic IR device)

- Athom won't allow me to use the generic IR device in my flow as a trigger

What can I do to use a IR signal to trigger a flow?

Athom won't allow you? Strange, why wouldn't Athom allow you?

You can only use predefined IR remotes as a trigger. The predefined IR doesn't work. Learning extra buttons on the predefined IR doesn't work. Not delecting a predefined IR does allow me to learn buttons, but this devices can only be used to send IR, not to receive.

I'll try the app.

Philips app didn't work, but fortunately the Samsung IR app dit (combined with Logitech Harmony posing as a Samsung), tnx for pointing in the right direction.
