Use existing speech command in flow

Hi,

Can I use an existing speech command in a flow? For example Turn TV on already exist. I want to use it as a trigger in my flow and extend the flow with enabling other devices.

You could use the trugger "tv is turned on", then it doesn't matter how the tv went on... But you can also use second flow "if user said something with" but IIRC then Homey will answer "I don't understand what you mean" while executing both the build0in command and yours. But you should just try what works.

Not sure whether I am asking the same question. I built a flow (triggered as: if flow is triggered, then a,b,c etc) that I would like to trigger as well by voice when I say: 'TV On'. I created a new flow with 'When somebody says'.

However, the microphone card says 'attention! Conflicts with other speech command'. How can I find the other (which I did not built) and if it is an pre-programmed one, how can I control that one to direct to my own build flows?

I would be also interested for  an answer here as I get this message often.
  • I'm facing this "attention! Conflicts with other speech command" also almost all the time now.
Please let us know how we can check this.

When using the microphone card it will show in your flow (see through the dutch language on the card but you get the point i guess :) ) For now it's not possible to change or turn off the default voice commands. The default voice commands are connected to default things like the command lights will turn all lights on/off that are identified as light in Homey when asking Homey to turn off the lights

  • But as soon as I use one of these words like 'Aan'  or 'Uit' you get this conflict error message. :-(

I want to use speech triggers like 'Bioscoop aan' or 'Bioscoop uit' or 'Huis uit' ...... But with all of these I get this error message.

What you could do is create a virtual device "Bioscoop" and add flows for that:
if "Bioscoop turns on" then do actions. Advantage of this is that you also have an icon which represents the current state...
  • But then still you can't use the word 'Aan' or 'Uit' in the A user say something with trigger?

I guess the warning is clear, it's a forbidden word so you can't use it in a flow. If you would like to use it you need to open a issue at Github and let Athom respond but many before you already asked and until today the answer was always they will not make a switch to turn on/off default voice commands That's what the card is telling you.

See the issues below, many already asked this before you:
https://github.com/athombv/homey/issues/142 (after this issue the warning card was introduced)
