Cannot install the desktop app on Windows 10

Whenever I try to install the Homey Desktop App I get the following error prior to the setup installation:

A JavaScript error occured in the main process

Uncaught Exception:
TypeError: callback is not a function
 at ChildProcess.spawned.on
 at emitTwo events (events.js:106:13)
 at ChildProcess.emit (events.js:191:7)
at MaybeClose (internal/child_process.js:885:16)
at Process.ChildProcess_handle.onexit (internal/child_process.js:226:5)

After that it just quits the setup and nothing else happens.

I tried opening as Administrator, rebooting my laptop, installing/uninstall Java , delete the appdata folder as pointed above

Cannot seem to find this issue on the internet, maybe i'm the only one to experience it so far?

    @Bram see above error ^^
    @quinzds You can still use Homey by going to https://my.athom.com in a chrome-browser (Firefox works for me too).
  • @quinzds just got the error also but after that you get the screen Homey installing and will the app be installed and will it work, just wait. But this is a bug, please make a report at the github of Athom for it ->  https://github.com/athombv/homey/issues

    I had this also, installed it with administrator rights and waited when the error prompted, after that app was installed. Don't expect much effort anymore in this app because Athom is making a move to mobile as written in the updates from Athom and here -> https://blog.athom.com/2017/07/07/homey-v2-0-future/

    But better issue a github issue because that is what Athom is using for bug tracking and feature requests
