Best practise: Heating Homey vs Netatmo/Nest/Heatmiser etc

Hi, just wanted some advice regarding best practise....
I have a Netatmo thermostat for our combiboiler, Heatmiser for the underfloor heating in two areas (but not connected as it is the original controller). But I'm sure this is the same for other thermostats....
So I can set the schedule in the Thermostat app, but I could also do it in Homey....What is best practise that the two aren't fighting each other?
I guess that if I leave it in Netatmo, then I also have the benefit of Siri being able to control it as well. And I like the quick settings in their app for when I'm away or not. But then again Homey could override that through the presence parameter.
Is there any best practise from those that have used this for a bit longer or is it a case of just give it a try and tell the rest of us
