Homey Voice Out Repeats for no reasons

hi Guys .

I'm trying to do a simple Voice control for Turning On/OFF my TV .So I have 2 flows which will listen to "television" for trigger and either "ON/OFF" before sending IR signal to ON/OFF my TV. Once that is done Homey should voice out in either "ON" or "OFF"

For unknown reason during Turning OFF , Homey will Voice Out "ON" followed by a 0.5secs delay before saying "OFF" .  But I do not face this issue for Turning ON .

Can anyone advise if my flow is correct?

  • The word "television" contains "on" would be my first guess... You'd better use the triggers "television on" and "television off".
  • perhaps you say;  television off
then homey recognise the last two characters from televisiON     ?

Perhaps I should change it to TV , but than again Homey might interpret it for TeeVee and not execute correctly
  • Go to <homey's-ip>/manager/speech-input/
Say "ok homey, tv" and see what appears.
If it returns 'tv', you're good.  If it returns 'teevee', just use that word in your flows :)
